la petite belle had never the proper time to explore valle rosarum but well, truth to be told, how would she? the kingdom was made almost entirely out of tiny villages with little to no communication between them, and, as a girl, it was only proper of her to stay in her family’s grounds – and god, she did have plenty to do to even bother going out but on the short periods tristan or jean baptiste would escort her to find some more books to fill in her leisure time or to get necessities at the town.
by the time she returned from her imprisonment, maybe she should have been able to go out more freely. her jailer certainly had spoiled her so, and her reputation had been ruined anyway – but to every little thing, from going out to eat a little more, all her mind would tell her was “why bother?”
( why bother indeed, the beauty would mutter, closing her eyes for another unnecessary nap. )
why bother? you’re missing out on precious time, wasting moments that could be better spend somewhere else and with someone else, chaeyeon replies, centuries after and in a place too much different than her little cottage. and she knew just who that someone was too.
she ignores her aching joints and goes up the stairs, overlooking the familiar sounds behind closed doors as she moves to her own precarious place. the raven-haired only takes a look to see if her door had not been busted open ( again ) before turning on her heels and knocking on the next door. “jennie?” she calls the woman whom she had so little in common with in the past – yet, now unite with a sigh of relief.
“have you ever heard about indiana jones?” it’s the thing that comes out of her lips upon the other fable’s appearance, the french’s orbs resembling fresh honey with a foreign excitement. “a kid was talking about it at the hotel, and i think it’s pretty big somehow?”
