My focus for 2018: be kind to myself
On days like today when I need a reminder that "hope is real."
Officially supporting #twloa!!!!
The world is stricken this thing called pain. No matter how far or fast we run it will catch up to us. Pain is something that reminds us we are alive when we feel nothing at all. Pain is raw and can be unbearable which is why we need others. Their love can ease and heal the pain when we cannot do it on our own any longer. Healing can come it may be slow and frustrating or it can happen quickly. But it is in those unbearable days where one person can love us enough to take the sting of pain away and bear the burden with us.

You’ll see me tomorrow because I still have demons to fight. I myself struggle & have struggled with anxiety & sometimes thoughts involving suicide… I’ve noticed that I’ve been like this since I was really young. I have also struggled with self harm and I’d say that I’m doing fairly well in terms of moving past it. You’ll see me tomorrow because there are still changes to be made within our society & there are lives to be saved for every one of those that couldn’t be. Did you know that there is approximately one suicide per every 40 seconds which totals to over 800,000 deaths globally EACH year? Not only do annual suicide deaths top the amount of deaths totaled due to war and homicide, but it is also the second cause of death among people between the ages of 15-29. This is something we can undoubtedly change!!! There are still people struggling, there are still people fighting just to live through another agonizing day. One source (suicidology.org), mentioned that most teens who have attempted or died from suicide have discussed their distress to atleast one other person, but sometimes it isn’t so clear & we need to know the warning signs of suicide. We need to ask questions & look out for others who may be hurting. Just talking to someone or befriending someone could possibly save a life. It is our job as society to lower the number of deaths from suicide & lower the number of those who are struggling with thinking about it!! We can do this. You’ll see me tomorrow because there is a light at the end of the tunnel.💛 Here is a link to help with knowing what the warning signs of suicide are: https://www.afsp.org/preventing-suicide/suicide-warning-signs - God Bless💛
