Two for Tee -
This was great! I thoroughly loved everything about it.
Chris is just so tall and so handsome. So charismatic but in a quiet way. I loved that Gwen from WCTH played his daughter. She's so great and he was the best dad. They were very sweet. Janel is always lovely and their chemistry was good. It was romantic and emotional and they didn't have any dumb drama, thankfully. Not even any issues with the ex. That's so rare. Will was always solid and unwavering in his support and confidence in Tee. I loved his appreciation of her talent and her art. It all felt mature.
Her mother was amazing. So kind and supportive of Tee. I loved seeing her get to reconnect with family. That was very emotional. The conversation about given names was beautiful and something we rarely see discussed in these movies. I loved everything about the pottery and about Tee's heritage. Theo was so much fun. The rest of the supporting cast was great as well. I loved how everyone was encouraging Will and Tee to get together. It was all very sweet and felt genuine.
The plot wasn't anything special. We've saved hundreds of buildings by now but this one felt a bit elevated. I was invested. There was more depth with the Chinese traditions and there were interesting characters. It was lovely. The locations and set dec were great. Nothing felt lacking. It was set in the city but it felt small and contained in a good way. The ending was really beautiful. It was fantastic!
