Do not follow me,
for my path is not your path.
But do not fear, child:
I have seen your route;
it is wild, and you’re ready
for the adventure.

Do not follow me,
for my path is not your path.
But do not fear, child:
I have seen your route;
it is wild, and you’re ready
for the adventure.
the weight of not one
but of everyone’s worlds
upon your shoulders:
cast it all away,
this moment is your respite—
choose peace for this breath
I will memorize
the steady beat of your heart;
your song, safe with me
&
I will discern it
amidst drumbeats and raindrops:
hymn of life and love
The trees have grown tall
since we last wandered through them,
our treads— forgotten,
our echo— long gone.
Your touch is mere memory;
my hand has gone cold.
When you need to hide your face
from the storm outside,
I’ll cover your eyes.
When midnight arrives
to swallow your hope
I’ll bring tidings of morning.
There is no pride in
the way you straddle the line
and lie to both sides.
-
You play pretend now,
but soon you’ll brake, and then break—
who will you be then?

How does one learn to
Rid themselves internally
Of ev’ry organ?

Theseus, am I?
So remnant of yours, of mine?
Fluid everywhere
