An excerpt from a Willie Nelson song, “On the Road Again” keeps ringing in my ears; just returning from twenty-four glorious days of working my beloved French language across France, a place I identify with as a Cajun French man.

Just can't wait to get on the road again

It’s been fun sharing my adventure with family and friends. Thanks for the joy you’ve shared with me as you’ve experienced my aventure au France, totally in the French language; and yes I’ve heard you grumble that you didn’t understand a word of what I said, but you enjoyed the pictures.

My challenge was to experience France, my sister country, as a Cajun French man from Louisiana, utilizing the French language.

My French heritage is a gift I behold dearly, given me by my ancestors. A proud Cajun with a burning desire to continue to cultivate and utilize my first tongue; it’s what I heard first as a child. Merci Mère, Père, Grande Mère et Grand Père. Thank y’all, Mom, Dad, MawMaw and PawPaw.

whenever i tell ppl [I'm/somebody i know] is going to china, i always say it like "returning." i'm "returning" to china. wasn't even born in china, have only spent an accumulative few years in china, but idk. that's just how it is. just how it feels.
