Do you think you could ever love again? Anyone ever caught your eye?
He let out a slight groan at the question. "Well, that is tipping into dangerous waters. Arranged marriages tend to be more of a duty than a love. That is not to say that I did not care for Oriana, and I will not speak ill of the dead. I will say that when...my son was born my like of her was increased through the love of him. But, I do not know if what we shared was love. We were good friends, and with that, we had benefits of being married and sharing of each other in the bedroom."
He leaned back against the chair realizing he hadn't answered the question at all but rather danced around it as he was prone to do. "I believe that I could love if I happened upon the right person. And, there is a person alive in the realm presently that I would be interested in pursuing. Though, it is best that I not disclose the name of said person as I would like them to be the first to know should I decide to say anything at all."
Threading his fingers together, he looked over at Carver and added, "Though, there is always the potential for others to supersede this person. And, there is no guarantee that if I said anything the feelings would be reciprocated. As you can tell, it's rather complex."
He turned the question back on him. "What about you? Has anyone caught your eyes? Have you contemplated love since you've come to Kirkwall?"
