Crude Attitude ("TwoCrudeDudes" fanart)

Sure rather primitive when compared to SoR or FF gameplay-wise, still my favorite SMD beat 'em up alongside with Comix Zone. Just a great collection of grotesque enemy freaks, charming protagonists and appropriately kitschy soundtrack.

Visually inspired by Redline (2010) for no other reason then I just recently watched it and really wanted to make something dynamic, expressive and with a heavy ink-like shadows.

Data East es una compañía con grandes títulos cómo Robocop o Windjammers. Pero a principios de los noventa sorprendió con True Crude Dudes (Crude Dudes en Japón) un beat'em up con tintes de plataformas, cargado de un gran sentido del humor y con un aroma de clásico del que hoy podemos seguir sintiendo. El juego nos pone en situación, allá por el no muy lejano año 2020. Nueva York está destrozada por unas explosiones que dejan la ciudad en un caos en el que se aprovechan unas bandas llamadas "Big Valley". En esta situación el gobierno decide que la única esperanza son dos mercenarios punkies con los que deberán eliminar a la banda que tiene aterrorizada a la ciudad.
