Crazy how these pictures were taken a mere two weeks apart. The body of a woman is truly amazing. While I am at the same weight I was before getting pregnant with bby # 2, I would still like to get in better shape. I am not ashamed of my body post baring children, I love my body! Its magical. Its a vessle for souls to incarnate into the third dimention. I refuse to be insecure. I would just like to get a little more fit and build some muscle. 💪💜

So my fears were confirmed today.. My tear is definitely infected. My sutures popped open and everything, my skin even fused together all wonky. My doctor had to use silver nitrate to close me back up today, and put me on a 10 day course of antibiotics. She insisted that it'll be safe for nursing, so I'm going to try not to worry about that too much. My breast milk is what's best for my son and I have faith that my body will filter out the good from the bad and give him only what he needs. My doctor said without treatment this infection could destroy my entire vagina... So obviously going without the antibiotics is completely not an option. My doctor wants to see me again in two weeks, and depending on how I heal, she might want to do a revision, where they'll open my tear again and re-stitch. So any prayers and good healing vibes sent my way would mean the world to me. It's so hard trying to deal with all this and be a single mom to a newborn when I feel like total complete shit.

Have just logged on for the first time in a week or so, & found I've been tagged by various lovely ladies for #20beautifulwomenchallenge ~ my little girl is now two weeks old & thriving - she's alert, content & growing rapidly! I'm slowly recovering, since I ended up having a rather traumatic end of labour resulting in an emergency c-section, it's taking time to heal... I look in the mirror now and see a fresh scar across my middle, a little pink squiggle of a stretch mark on my belly from a tiny foot kicking me from the inside on her final week within me, a new deep furrow in my brow embedded forever during my 36 hours of labour, dark circles beneath my eyes, I'm without a shred of make up and with knotted hair, but I really & truly feel more beautiful than ever and am proud of my battle scars; they are evidence of the strength I found that I didn't know existed & tell a story of the arrival of the most precious gift that life could give.
