@twsoonyoung , tell me about the dream where we pull the bodies from the lake
he knows the rules of fabletown.
they are to be what you are not; always walking on two legs, always standing upright on land and giving no thought to who you’re supposed to be. and hyungwon hates them, hates the way his body feels when he’s stuck itching in the sun without the comfort of the water to soak his skin and find its way into the crevices of his every scale. he misses his tail the most when he’s forced to be on land, and that’s why on most days, hyungwon remains to be himself.
he knows the rules, he just doesn’t care.
perhaps that’s why hyungwon finds himself sitting by the water now, eyes peering out into the distance and the dark depths that beckon to his sirenlike side. it is the dark of night that coats him warm, and he is not too worried about what bigby wolf might say if he caught him; if anything, he can always charm him into forgetting with his voice. and so the glamour comes off; before the world, hyungwon is the naked man and then the naked mermaid, legs sewing themselves together and tail forming from his flesh.
all that he wants to do is dive right in, and so he does. ( hyungwon feels right at home in the water of a river rather than the pool that keeps him confined by its walls. )
