You pouted at the sight of the mute peppermint boy pacing around his little workspace, focusing on documents and everything else that Crowley gave him except for you.

Honestly, he wasn't usually like this.

Often, he would successfully find time for the both of you to just relax and spend what's left of the day. Right now, he's far too busy for that, and you understand that he's very diligent to get thing done but...

"Aeppermint."

The boy looked up and blinked at you when you called his name, an indication of him being baffled.

"It's almost 1 am, you're supposed to be sleeping."

Aepper sighed, shaking his head. With the palm of his hand, and white speech bubble that was all too familiar materialized from air.

(I have to finish all this work, s/o, I apologize. Why not you sleep first? You shouldn't be up this late.)

"Aepper, you goddamn hypocrite..." you mumbled under your breath, as Aepper frowned a bit.

You grab a hold of his hand, knowing he wouldn't use force on you to try and escape, he wanted to anchor his feet down to the ground to freeze you in place, but he just couldn't with a force stronger inside him that said "no".

He groaned quietly.

Pushing him down on the bed, you placed your hands in an akimbo, trying to glare at him.

"Sleep. Now."

Aepper looked unimpressed, his head sunk into the pillow as he frowned and pouted slightly by your adamance.

(Fine, if you want to assert that...)

In a flash, he locked his legs around your waist, securing you in his grasp as he used the to pull you down. The boy grabbed ahold of your wrists, switching your positions as you found yourself on the same pillow he rested on, with him on top of you, pinning your wrists against the mattress.

He smirks.

(Then you sleep first.)

He let go, satisfied with the blush that formed on your face.

"You-! Argh!" You wrapped your hands around his neck, forcing him down to crash his lips into yours, he smiled against your lips as he gently pressed your head to kiss you deeper.

You backed away, panting slightly as you irked upon seeing he didn't even break a sweat.

"Goddamn brat."

Surprising Aepper with a kiss is never an easy task. He makes sure you think he's one step behind you, but in fact he will always be three steps ahead of you.

You tried surprising him from the entrance of Ramshackle, only to have him come from the back window of the lounge. Once you gave up, he came by to teleport behind you on time and pecked your lips.

(Good evening, darling. I just made dinner in the kitchen, and I'm sure that cake of yours would satisfy for dessert~)

He ruins two of your surprises, albeit he made you dinner and let you cuddle with him afterwards but still;

It was pretty frustrating. But maybe you had something that WILL surprise him.

Aepper came back from Ramshackle, descending down with his umbrella down through the window of his room. Scanning the area, he sees no notes from you.

It's probably a kitchen surprise, he thought.

Quietly sneaking into the kitchen, he notices nothing on the table, and that nothing was left scattered on the ground from you like usual. Strange.

He peered from the door. You weren't at the entrance.

Did... did they just disappeared?

Now the peppermint boy was freaking out.

He came running all around the dorm, scanning and teleporting to every corner of the room but to no avail. For once, Aepper wished he had a voice to just call out to you.

Was it some random overblot he did not see coming that you're actually stuck in NRC? Is it Crowley, The Adeuce combo? Not even Grim was in the dorm? Are you in trou-

Aepper's frantic thoughts were cut short as he felt something warm and soft that was pressed gently on his cheek. A chaste kiss.

He turned around to face you, a cheeky grin plastered on your face as you burst out laughing.

"Surprise, surprise! Were you worried?"

He remained deathly quiet, his hair covering his face so that you couldn't read his expression, which made you nervous and uncomfortable.

"Um.. Ae-" pushed towards the wall, you felt the warm breath that smelt like peppermints, realising Aepper took both your hands with his own and pinned you to the wall.

(Well, darling, if you liked to know... I was more than just worried.)

You gulped, a dark pink shade of blush spread across your cheek.

He closed his eyes and gently let you go, sighing. He placed a hand on his hip.

(Don't do something stupid.)

You snorted. "You worry wart, I'm just here to get payback for all the other surprises you've foiled before!"

He softly scoffed, but smiled warmly at you.

(Whatever.)

TWST; Yuu + Aepper Headcanons!

Aepper and Yuu headcanons!! More unfinished drafts I’m gonna rush on Sunday :DD

Relationship: Yuu is the dorm leader of Ramshackle, and Aepper is tasked to be the Vice Dorm to take care of them.

Yuu to Aepper at first, was pretty boring to him.

He didn’t even batted an eyelash, let alone see anything special in Yuu except for the fact they possessed no magic, which to Aepper, makes them even more uninteresting to him.

Crowley, his new master, had instructed to him to take care of them and their cat named Grim, much to Aepper’s dismay. He’s not willing to babysit, especially Grim. That annoying pest.

The peppermint boy thought Yuu was an error made by Crowley, and let someone into the school not from this world.

Though knowing Yuu wasn’t from this peeked his interest a little. He;s never heard of a place like theirs, even from the books he has read never mention a place of such. He wonders if they were lying, but seeing them being absolutely sure about it made him believe that there is such a place.

Slowly, Aepper finds himself learning more about where Yuu lives; about the culture, how it’s like to live there, what’s education like... he’s being hooked to the stories Yuu shares with him as he remains silent, listening to them ramble on and on.

Aepper has many stories himself. Being a criminal and a butler for a criminal, he’s got plenty of thriller experience that would perk up the ears of normal people. But looking back, the peppermint boy finds no interest in them.

In fact, he feels like they’re best hidden, and not to be shared. However, he might lay off some story time for Yuu when he feels like it, and when their trust is at a comfortable and mutual level for him. He doesn’t share anything to explicit or detailed, but rather a little vague or trivial.

When Aepper and Yuu get to a mutual relationship as friends and dorm mates, Aepper would protect them with all his being, and not because Crowley instructed him. It’s because Yuu is technically his first ever close friend.

He never really had any friends. His status made everyone avoid him, his disguises to “befriend” someone in the past were to manipulate them and help him complete his tasks, and he finds no interest in making them at all, seeing them as a distraction and potential double edge sword on his and his master’s safety.

So, when he’s no longer a “criminal” in a sense, he starts to realise how it’s like to actually have a friend to talk to, and it feels nice. That’s all he can say. 

Oh yeah, side note, he makes sure Grim is fed well- and he did brush him once. He still finds Grim annoying but eh- he can tolerate-

Aepper is like a housekeeping maid butler for Yuu; he cooks for them, he’s their personal alarm clock, bed changer, cleaner (he just uses his magic), he uses his umbrella to shield them from the sun and rain, their bodyguard. Ace teases him like he’s Sebek with Malleus, always watching out for them. Aepper brushes him off, simply telling him it’s his job. But really, Aepper really treasures his best friend, and he hopes Yuu thinks of him as their best friend too. <3
