Just had this thought flying through my brain at work so now I'm using my break to throw it out here for everyone. So sorry for any typos or loop holes.

Could technically evolve into romance but this is more platonic and (forced) found family lol.

What about a Yuu with some beast blessing?

Like not the typical part of a clan who can transform but like met them and now got their power's from there.

A dragon to be exact. A full grown has lived fully one. One if still alive would look at Malleus and go: ah yes a young one still finding it's footing or something like that.

So now Yuu has that problem with Malleus.

Like no personal one.

Just instinct telling them to raise 'the hatchling'.

'The hatchling' who's technically thrice their age at least.

'The hatchling' who is one of the strongest mages in the world.

'The hatchling' who definitely doesn't need to be coddled and applauded for every step like some toddler or tugged under Yuu for warmth. (It wouldn't fit anyways, let's be real on that.)

Basically:

Yuu is fighting mother instincts they never had before (they're like around twenty at most). So they kinda try to run like the devil is on their heel whenever they see Malleus. (It fails. Because insistent instinct drags them back one way or another.)

Lilia having an absolute field day with this.

And Malleus?

Malleus just absolutely lost and thinks the human friend of his is just particular.

Totally up for grabs if someone wants to make something out of this. I'm gonna bask in embarrassment about this while working now. Bye.
