HELLO SORRY ANON... im sure ur the same person who asked this earlier, i didn't forget about you!! i don't wanna keep you waiting any longer, so ill just post what i have now. i was planning on compiling all my beastmen hcs but here's what i have so far!!
im p sure it's unclear how beastmen/merfolk came to be? iirc ruggie brought up once how he's descended from actual hyenas, so im gonna chalk it up to evolution (animals evolving to look like humans) and will be using that logic for this post.
okay so i hc beastmen/merfolk are extremely diverse :3 some just get the ears and tail while some get an entire muzzle, paws, etc. to make it easier im gonna classify them as hlb and alb (human like beastmen and animal like beastmen)
hlb beastmen usually have 5 or less components of the animals they have characteristics of. ears, tails, other body parts (such as a rhino horn or something), instincts, and senses.
for example, a hlb with deer characteristics would have the ears, tail, horns, be skittish and territorial, and have heightened senses (especially hearing).
an alb would have the face an antlers of a deer, furry skin, and hooves (feet), despite their human-like bipedalism and opposable thumbs.
i think it's basically the same for merfolk! someone in the discord just recently posted some different merfolk hcs recently ill just put them here... ily kaz... CEO of merfolk hcs... @/kenjakunuts on twt btw

yk when people theorize that leonas mom died in childbirth and thats why everyone hates him/pays less attention to her, imagine he has his mothers face which is a constant reminder of ""what he did"" making people hate her even more lol
Leona: he generally dislikes vegetables so i'll rule out anything like avocadoes and tomatoes. i did a little bit of research™ and found out citrus go well with meat! so i think he'd like pineapples...
Ruggie: loves fruits, you can make use of each part (salads, jams, juices). i'd say the only fruit he doesn't favor TOO much would be bananas because they rot quickly, but i'm sure he'd find a creative way to keep them fresh.
Jack: all fruits, specifically protein-rich fruits! he likes to carry them around as a snack and also for track practice. i think the only fruits he'd dislike would be super sweet ones, like lychees or something.

ive always seen riddle as questioning because of his strict parents, but if he ever did figure out his identity transfem she/he bi is so real. i think floyd (who i hc as gnc/genderqueer) would offhandedly go "i really dont gaf about gender" around riddle one day, which would flip a switch for him lmao
i think at some point in nrc history, people just started wearing skirts and eventually they were like "why doesnt the damn school offer skirts?" and eventually they became an official, optional part of the uniform.
vil and floyd bpd is canon to ME but ive actually never considered malleus, mostly cos idk his character too well? thats rlly intresting!!
SILVER HAS NARCOLEPSY AND THATS CANON as someone with chronic fatigue who gets too sleepy to stand if its one degree too cold or i woke up two minutes too early
hc leona feels so fucking stupid for his hatred / jealousy / whatever towards cheka because he Knows its a stupid thing to be so pissed of at this tiny peppy child who doesnt understand anything and just wants to be your friend but also the fact that its considered stupid to feel that way makes her Angrier because it feels invalidating [? is that the right word idk] so hes just stuck in this perpetual loop of 'i hate cheka -> thats irrational cheka is a child -> i am not allowed to show my feelings because of cheka -> i hate cheka'
