Plans going forward
Apologies for the long silence. Sadly, due to severe health complications, we were forced to make some changes to our event schedule.
Rarepair Halloween 2024 will sadly have to be canceled!
But don't despair! Our current planned schedule is as follows:
October-November: Rarepair Halloween
(November-December: Secret Samta gift exchange)
January-March: Rarepair Dance 2025
April-June: Rarepair Week 2025
July-September: Rarepair Summer 2025
There may be smaller events in the meantime hosted on our wonderful Discord server where everyone is always welcome.

Rules and Q&A
Themes
Submit your works for: Light Theme – Dark Theme – Vibrant Theme
AO3 Collection
If you have an AO3 account, feel free to use our collection to share your works! While we won't be able to share your posts from there unless you post them on other media as well, your work will be snug with the other rarepair posts for anyone to find!
Heyo! I got a few questions for ya!
Could you give me a very basic explanation of this whole thing? I understand the Dance themes part, but the submission part is sort of confusing me a tad!
Like, What if you kinda have a good idea on the fact your rarepair will not have the most submissions?
The one i’m thinking of personally is Idia and Che’nya (The RSA Cheshire Cat character, Riddle and Treys Childhood friend, just incase y’all don’t remember) , but this could apply to any ships, I suppose!
Should one still submit something, or would it be sort of a waste?
Sorry If thats dumb question!
Have a Great Day/Night!
Hello!
The dance event is now over as it was running around Valentine's Day. The current event to look out for is the annual TWST Rarepair Week! For this week, there are no special submissions or contests. Simply create content with the prompts and post it with the #twst rarepair week tag or tag us! We will be reblogging/retweeting works like that for the duration of the event and even longer! You can check our pinned post for more information on the current event!
There will be more events to come so certainly stay tuned if rarepairs are something that interests you! Since the Dance event got some good reception, we're planning on renewing it next year.
Question: What would count as a rarepair?
Hi!
If you read our event rules, you will see that for a ship to qualify as a rarepair, it needs to have fewer than 150 posts on AO3 as well as fewer than 1500 entries on Pixiv! Seeing as these are the most used creative fandom websites that are quantifiable in any way, we are forced to rely on them. You can join our Discord server to find a set of stat sheets compiled by our lovely event contributors that lays all the numbers out in one place!
sorry for the dumb question but i'm having trouble reading the dates on the announcement image, when is rarepair week going to be?
Not dumb at all, don't worry!
The Rarepair Week 2024 will take place from 1st to 7th of May! The dates there are 1.-7.5. and our prompt and AU lists also include those dates (1st to 7th) just to make sure there's no confusion. Hope this helped answer your question!
