Stars

stars: our characters under the stars together.
never has he ever had the opportunity to appreciate what humans consider to look rather dazzling and beautiful, such as the stars that appear during the dark of night. being a god an all, hades only merely roamed the underworld which was full of nothing but souls of the dead whom were once apart of the living.
it was the first time he had been accompanied by someone other than cerberus and or his wife, persephone and he could say this was a rather good change of pace nonetheless. business was stressful anyway and he could at least do something other than sitting around and babysitting those in his pool of souls. he was immortal, he had an eternity and while he was rather forced to go on this little trip surrounded by mortals; the gods were around before them anyway.
at least he had someone to accompany him, a stranger who introduced herself as puck. usually, the man would decline but at least she was pleasant to be around. unlike some people he knew. hades walks down, his hands tucked inside his suit pockets while the younger walked in front of him for guidance.
“what is with people dragging away strangers they don’t know?” he questions, glancing at her in curiousity but he found himself tired by her ongoing energy by the time they came out in the middle of nowhere up top the semi open field at the middle of the night. “you looked like someone who could use a night out, doing something usually mortals would enjoy.” hades chuckled by the response because well, did he look mortal to her? a god like him wasn’t interested in anything that mortals would enjoy, knowing he has seen it before.
he had more important things to do anyways. but hades decided to not pass up on her offer and takes up on her offer anyways. hopefully then she could leave him alone. she would pressure him to sit but no, he didn’t want to get his suit dirty by sitting on grass. instead he stood there behind her while they watched the stars in silence together. although at first place, hades could tell that she was a rather passionate woman but still mysterious to him. maybe she had been someone who was forced out into this world just like everyone else. maybe.
he was curious. and don’t mortals usually make wishes upon stars? except she was no mortal being at all. he was sure that she had ambitions, everyone does. so hades decided to amuse himself with asking the question. “so tell me, puck. if you were to wish upon the stars at the moment, what would you wish to have? hm?”
