Just finished rereading The Yellow Trilogy by txrches and damn the book reminds me of why its one of my favourite Camren fanfic

I’m going to keep crying with the Yellow series. I’m in the Blue part and last night I cried like a baby with the first chapters. That serie was the first Camren story that I’ve read about the girls and I still love it, no matter what.

Yellow by txrches

Wow. First of all, the yellow series was actually published and is available for purchase, and I highly recommend buying. I was only able to get the first book, Yellow, about two years ago but I’ve read it about 1000000 times since. The plot of Yellow is just so amazing. That’s such an understatement though. On top of the story as a whole, the songs that Lauren would sing to Camila were made into a Spotify playlist! Okay enough about that. One thing that I really loved about Yellow was the mystery behind Camila’s home life. I think my favorite part was when Lauren flew back to Miami to read the journal Camila had. Lauren connected Camila’s behavior with her past and realized she didn’t out her to be malicious and it was like…relief. She didn’t distance herself from Camila anymore. In my opinion, that was a very significant moment

reasons to go, reasons to stay fic review

I just finished this beautiful fanfic in a day and I’m shook. I really loved the concept and the story!

but what really grinded my gears was that camila did all that, risking her perfect relationship with Lauren, letting the green eyed think that she cheated, leaving her daughter, leaving the family she had, even attempting suicide only for Keith to be killed by a 10 year old kid who had sharp shooting skills.

Then no more social workers, no more running away, police… I just realized there are a lot of holes in this story and a lot of questions going through my mind like what about their parents? Norminah? Sofia? I mean Keith was dead, why not visit their home, let camila’s parents know that she’s still alive.. I think she owed that to them. Things were left out to rust.

but nevertheless, it’s a cute story. I thought I’ll never go through with fluffs but they were so cute and all. I really wanted to discuss this with anyone lmao but I think this rant is enough. After all, the fic’s old it’s not like I could do something about it.
