the game awards get funnier every year and i don't think it's for reasons geoff keighley intends for them to be. why the hell was there literal epilepsy lights playing over cirque du soleil performances? why were we getting cirque du soleil performances to introduce video game trailers? did the entire cast of street fighter need to present that award, and if so, why wasn't it rehearsed strictly? was the miss piggy musical number planned to be that unfunny? is the live mixing of performances always going to be bad to barely tolerable? how much does it cost to be the ending trailer that caps off the show? does the show need to be 3+ hours long, or can we perhaps shave some of the shit down?
