YES DARLING. Have a snippet from the Pierresteban Car Crash fic. Featuring Gabriel, a character I made up completely to be Esteban's current boyfriend (temporary). @abovecalamity

“Hey, Esteban, it’s okay.” came Gabriel’s voice, now closer to him than Esteban remembered them being moments ago. A warm hand came to rest on his shoulder, and he sucked in a deep breath to try and regain his bearings. “It sounds like protocol to me from the hospital. I am sure Pierre is okay, and you can add this to the list of shit he owes you for, right?”

“Right.” Esteban’s voice was tense, but he did find the strength to offer the barest smile at Gabriel’s efforts to calm his racing thoughts. “That asshole.”

“That asshole, yes. Now get dressed and hand me your keys, you are not driving right now.”

It was a welcome relief that came with Gabriel’s words. Driving, of course, was more than second nature - almost as involuntary as breathing to someone like Esteban - even when stress and conflict and feelings were built up into a tight ball in his chest the way they were now. But to have the privilege of handing that responsibility off, well, he would take that in a heartbeat. And so he did.

What do you think was the funniest moment of the season? god my memory is SO bad but there is this one teamlh dude on twt that made a tweet that was like „no sidepods is the most innovative design concept ever etc etc“ only for them to absolutely tank it so ig in general just merc flop era after totos „everbody has a target on their back next year“

*atoc ch 7 spoilers in this ask* can i ask how atiya felt with each of the elements during the coronation? specifically those choices at the end, like grateful vs overwhelmed with the water spirits for example! with or without context, whichever you want, just loved that section and love your thoughts on atoc so thought i'd ask!

RIGHT SO. CHAPTER 7.

i was a beta reader so i used that as an opportunity to try out a bunch of different options for my crown during the coronation ceremony. i won't go into detail so i don't spoil how ppl get certain outcomes, BUT. i will say that i figured out atiya has a deep connection to water: she is skilled at making people see only what she wants them to see (whether that's an unassuming person buying glamors for her eyes or a gracious ruler in full regalia) while keeping any inner turmoil hidden. she's the undertow of the ocean in that way.

SO she was grateful with the water spirits because she recognises herself in them. in my beta runs, she got every possible variation of what the ocean can say (i suggest jotting down the adjective in 'my ___ child' and tracing back how/why it calls your crown that. THE REPLAY VALUE!!!)

i also love that whole section! the imagery is stunning and so evocative. i was genuinely moved reading it, and i'm thrilled that you liked it as well!! <33
