Different anon but redundancy is probably the right word cuz in most data storage applications redundancy can be a good thing. It means that even if you lose one form, the data was redundant ie you still have other forms. This is kind of contradictory to most common uses of redundancy where it has negative connotations so I see where you're coming from tho
And also like wouldn't minimization be the opposite of what he's doing? Like he's creating more backups not removing unnecessary data right ?
from my pov data minimisation is like ... paring down the data to only keep what u need? like keeping only the dna rather than the creatures? but he said he would have liked the creatures too so mayb thats not the right word
