YouTube video: Ashton being in love with Y/N for ten minutes straight.
The Infamous Intro
Ashton wrapped his arms around you from behind as you spoke, “Hey guys! As you can tell, I’m in LA right now!”
“The place she should be living,” Ashton jumped in.
You rolled your eyes, “Do you ever shut up?”
“I haven’t seen you in six months, so no, I will not shut up.”
You tugged his arms from around you, and he quickly pouted. “I’m asking for thirty minutes. Then, you can tell me anything you want.”
Ashton huffed, “Okay.” He gave you a quick kiss on the cheek before he walked out of frame.
The Interview Question
“We have a bowl of questions here. Nothing too personal. It’s just some get to know you type of questions” the interviewer placed the bowl on the table, “All you have to do is read the question out loud and then answer it. Who wants to go first?”
Ashton leaned forward as he reached his hand into the bowl. “May as well,” he muttered.
He unraveled the paper, reading it to himself quickly. “Who is my celebrity crush?”
“Oh, this should be interesting,” Luke laughed.
“Well, it's not because it’s Y/N,” Ashton folded the paper and playfully tossed it back on the table.
“That’s cheating! She’s your best friend,” the boys complained.
“No, it’s not! She is a celebrity, and I love her. There’s nothing wrong with that. A crush doesn’t always mean you want to date them.”
Same Question: Two Years Later
“You guys have been on the scene for a little while now.” The interviewer pointed out, “Awards shows, parties, tours- meeting all kinds of celebrities.”
“Life’s a party,” Calum said.
“It sure seems like it. Now that you’ve mingled and met a lot more celebrities… Who are your celebrity crushes?”
“Easy. Y/N,” Ashton blurted with a clap.
The boys shook their heads in amusement as they leaned back. The interviewer tilted their head in confusion and asked, “Y/N? One of your best friends?”
“Yeah. She’s the sweetest person I know. No one has a more pure or genuine heart than her. She’s always picking me up when I’m down. She deserves some love, and I’m happy to give it to her.”
El Tejano Dance Video
“I don’t know why I decided that it’d be good to bring you along,” you confessed as you looked down at him.
He laughed, laying out on the floor as the song softly played in the background. “It’s because I have great suggestions.”
You tried to pull him up out of your way with no avail. “Great suggestions? When did stop being so sexy become a great suggestion?”
“When I decided that I don’t want guys getting any ideas about you. The belly dancing is...” Ashton began stuttering over his own words.
You raised an eyebrow with a laugh, “Cat got your tongue?”
Ashton fell silent, a red tint forming on his cheeks as he tried to play it off.
“Could you scoot over so I can try to work out the kinks? Don’t want to kick you in the face.”
Ashton slid over, resting his back against the wall while you started the song over.
*I met a girl at El Tejano, we danced. To Spanish covers of Nirvana, we danced*
You stumbled over your feet, almost falling to the ground. “Shit!” you exclaimed with a huff, “It’s that one fucking move.”
Ashton bursted out in laughter when you threw your hands up in frustration. “I told you it wasn’t working,” he teased.
You rolled your eyes, looking at him from the mirror. “Do you want to figure out this choreography? I’m sure the producers would love to see that.”
Ashton’s eyes widened as he brought a hand up to his chest, “I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I have no idea what I’m doing.”
“I thought you gave great suggestions?” you questioned, reiterating what he said a few minutes prior.
“No,” he shook his head, “I never do. Especially with this.”
You let out a triumphant huff. “Okay, then, be quiet for five minutes, and let me think.”
The silence only lasted for a few seconds before he spoke again, “You know it’s really hot when you try to boss me around.”
You gave him a pointed stare with no amusement apparent on your face. He pretended to zip his lips and throw away the key, mouthing, “Sorry.”
The Blooper
Your gaze averted to Ashton as he pulled up a chair and sat beside you. “What the hell are you doing?” you asked.
He gave you a childish grin. “I wanted to hangout with my best girl.”
You gestured to the camera. “Well, I’m kind of in the middle of something.”
He shrugged, “I don’t mind.”
“Ashton, can you please leave?” You tried to push him out of frame with no avail.
“No,” he laughed.
“What will it take for you to give me five minutes?”
He nudged you with a small smile. “Let me take you on to that new restaurant tonight. I know you’ve been dying to try it out.”
”Deal. Now, disappear,” you shooed him away.
He got up, grabbed the chair, and asked, “Are you going to cut that out?”
You laughed, “I don’t think so, Ash. Everyone needs to see how annoying you are.”

You tweet out the video with the caption: It’s only fair that I get one, too, right? I love my boy!
Ashton smiles to himself as soon as he reads it.
You love him. Platonically, of course, but it still means everything to have you say those words.
“What are you smiling at?” Calum asks, walking behind Ashton as he throws on a shirt.
“Nothing in particular,” Ashton closes Twitter, but it isn’t fast enough.
Calum sighs, shaking his head, “I still don’t understand why you haven’t made a move on her.”
Ashton gets up to start stretching before they go on stage. “She’s my best friend. I’m not going to fuck that up over some stupid crush.”
“But it’s not a crush,” Michael chimes in, “You are so in love with Y/N that it’s physically hard to watch.”
Ashton rolls his eyes, “I’m not in love with her, okay?”
“You bought her a fucking personalized diamond pendant necklace, but you’re not in love with her,” Luke looks at Ashton in amusement.
“I’m pretty sure you bought the camera she uses for her videos, too,” Michael points out.
“You don’t even buy us that good of gifts,” Calum laughs.
Ashton pauses, trying to figure out the right way to explain those presents, but he comes up with nothing. “Maybe I like her. That doesn’t mean she likes me back,” he shrugs.
“Do we have to go through all the things she did for you? I’d be surprised if she wasn’t in love with you.”
Ashton huffs, letting the conversation die as they all do their own pre-show rituals.
As it gets closer to time, the boys make their way out of the room, leaving Ashton in there last.
“We go on in 15!” Ashton hears Luke yell as the door to the room opens.
“I only need 5!”
The door closes and Ashton’s eyes widen as he turns around. “Y/N?”
“Are you expecting anyone else?” you laugh, walking over to him.
He pulls you into a tight hug, breathing in your scent. “It’s been too long,” he mutters, “I missed you so much.”
“I missed you, too, Ash. You get all famous and don’t come to see me anymore,” you joke.
Ashton scoffs, pulling back from you, “Planes go both ways, you know.”
“It was your turn, jackass.”
He can’t wipe the grin off of his face as he looks at you. You look more beautiful than ever. He swears that every time he sees you, in pictures or real life- you get more beautiful.
“Ash? Are you with me?” you wave a hand in front of his face with a look of concern.
“Yeah!” he clears his throat, “yeah, I just- you just- you look amazing.” He gestures to your outfit that fits you in all of the right places.
“Ten minutes!” Michael pokes his head in to inform you both, leaving as quickly as he came.
You and Ashton start making your way offstage. “How long are you going to be on tour with us?” he asks, skipping beside you as he gets his last stretches in.
“Just the rest of the tour,” you say nonchalantly.
“Are you serious?”
You nod with a laugh, “Why would I need to lie? I hope you don’t mind sharing your bed, though.”
His heart skips a beat. “Yeah! That’s perfectly fine!”
You both fall silent. So much that both of you want to say, but unsure of how to say it.
“Ash! Let’s go!” Calum yells, looking back at the two of you.
“Go kill it out there,” you give him a soft smile, “We’ll catch up more later.”
Ashton grins at you before jogging to meet up with the boys.
“You should’ve kissed her.”
“Shut up,” he mutters.
As soon as the concert is over, Ashton rushes over to you immediately. “I should have kissed you,” he blurts, the adrenaline still coursing through his veins, “Before I went on stage, I should have kissed you. The boys told me that I’d regret it, and I really do.”
“You’re rambling,” you grin.
“What? What are you talking about?” he asks.
“You ramble when you’re extremely nervous. Do I make you nervous?” you tease, tugging him down to you.
Now that his lips hover inches aways from yours, his voice is barely above a whisper, “I mean- not normally, no. I just- I don’t want to fuck everything up.”
“Then kiss me.”
Ashton takes no time to close the space in between the both of you, wrapping his around around your waist to pull you closer than physically possible. You melt into the kiss, running your hands through his hair.
You pull apart at the sound of cheers and chants from the boys. Ashton lets out a laugh as you hide your face in his shirt.
“Could you guys kindly fuck off?” Ashton looks at them as he rubs your back.
They hold their hands up in defense, walking away. Each of them muttering about just being excited.
You look up at him with a childish grin as the footsteps get farther away. “I didn’t think our first kiss would have an audience,” you laugh.
“Me either,” He chuckles, stealing a quick kiss before letting you out of his embrace.
You both walked hand in hand to the changing room with smiles stuck on your face.
“How about we go out to a local diner tonight? Maybe take a stroll in the park? And I’ll ask you to be my girlfriend before the night is over,” Ashton suggested.
“Sounds amazing.”
