The task of liberating the slaves after the fall of Corypheus had not been easy, but in the past two years, the amount of freed men had climbed significantly through Thedas. Still, there were those still hiding their slaves, and Tevinter was far from being liberated.
The plan was simple; Velorahnii, being the Inquisitor, would openly visit the man’s mansion. He would not dare refuse her, and simply the rumor that he would be meeting with her would gain him status and ‘friends’. Azariah, posing as her bodyguard—as usual—would slip away on a matter of security and get the slaves to Tylafzea and a few agents for safekeeping until they could be smuggled to Skyhold.
Flawless, should it all go well.
And now the Inquisitor sat with the Tevine, talking possible arrangements but of course giving no straight answers. A request had been made of the Inquisition, and it was Velorahnii’s job to distract and decide whether it was even worth it.
Almost on cue, Azariah excused herself, beckoning to a servant to assist her in navigating the halls. She made small-talk as they went. “Do they treat you well here?”
