NFL Award Predictions for the 2015 SeasonBy: Tyler Kirk – @tkirk3 MVP– Andrew Luck- I feel that Andrew Luck now finally has enough weapons to get him to the Super Bowl. They have added weapons on defense with the additions of Trent Cole and still have Vonte Davis who could be argued as the league’s best cornerback. I love what the Colts did this season on offense brining in Andre Johnson and Frank Gore and drafting Phillip Dorsett. These players will bring even more to that high powered offense making Lucks job even easier. Expect Luck to perform at his best this season.

Offensive Rookie of the Year– Melvin Gordon/ Amari Cooper- I was in a toss up of who to pick. I believe that both Melvin Gordon and Amari Cooper can take this league by storm in year one. Melvin Gordon comes to a team that needs help and has one of the league’s best passers. This will help him not see 8 to 9 man fronts. On the other hand after Derek Carr’s solid rookie campaign he will have an explosive receiver to throw to that can be a huge difference maker. I love Cooper here coming from the SEC and doing similar things to Atlanta’s Julio Jones. I think Cooper is a natural hands catcher and can create space within his routes.

Defensive Rookie of the Year– Vic Beasley- I know Vic is raw and has a lot of talent. I know he has to develop more pass rushing moves. But Mr. Beasley is a freak. He will be able to get 6 plus sacks just on ability. Atlanta has been looking for this pass rusher awhile now. They didn’t really hit on Osi Umenyiora when they brought him in from the Giants. This kid has a chance to be special if he gets the right coaching. I like his chances to make a huge impact this year and help the Falcons try to claim the NFC South.

Coach of the Year– Jason Garrett- I personally thought last year that Jason might win the award. I know, I know as a Cowboys fan I will hear about this. But Garrett has rebuilt this team from ground up since being coach and finally got rewarded this offseason inking a 5 year 30 million dollar deal. I love the way he has “his” type of players now on the Dallas Cowboys. I see Dallas being 12-4 again this season and reaching the NFC Championship game and he will once again be recognized for the award but this time will win it.

Comeback Player of the Year– Sam Bradford- Sam Bradford has a chance to be very good in this Eagles offense. This offense makes average players like Mark Sanchez be very good. Sam Bradford is above average quarterback when healthy. He is smart, knows defenses has good pocket presences and doesn’t turn the ball over. He can make all the throws while being very, very accurate. When he is healthy he will make this team compete once again for the NFC East title. Chip Kelly’s offense makes the job easier on the quarterback confusing the defense and getting players into wide open spaces. Making the reads for a QB very quick and easy. Sam Bradford excels at the quick release. If Sam stays healthy and that’s a big IF, I see a big year coming from him awarding him Comeback Player of the Year.

Offensive Player of the Year– Le’veon Bell- Where do I begin with Le’veon. I mean this kid is amazing. His patience with the ball in his hands and ability to follow his lineman is incredible. He has receiver like hands, but his best trait among many was his ability to hang on to the football. After 290 rushes and 82 catches Le’veon fumbled 0 times. That’s right the big goose egg. This kid works so hard every single day on his footwork. If you follow this man on twitter that’s all he does is work. I expect Le’veon to rush for more yards this season and help Pittsburg represent the AFC North again this season.

Defensive Player of the Year– J.J. Watt- Do I really need a section for him? Well J.J. Watt is a straight up monster. Got voted the number one player in the NFL this season by his peers. I know that list doesn’t really matter but still. J.J. Watt always demands a double team and usually triple team. He has a non-stop motor and never gives up on a play. I love the way he plays the game and that’s why he is the best defensive player in the league. He wrecks games within just one snap. He changes the complexity of the game. He is truly the best game changer we have on defense in the NFL in today’s game. J.J. wins Defensive Player of the Year but don’t count out Luke Kuechly as well. He may reach 200 tackles this year.
