One of my favorite , if not my outright favorite, band is The Midnight, and they have a long history of going back through their members music catalog and remaking old songs (Lost&Found, Devil Make a Deal, Brooklyn.Friday.Love., etc) so I’ve been going through Tyler Lyle’s discography and firstly it’s absolutely fantastic and secondly I’ve now encountered a song with the lyrics “I could’ve joined you in the closet hiding, you could’ve saved me from the prejudice and the goddamn fundamentalists”

Tyler do you have something to share with the class?- given you have a wife probably not but goddamn you’ve accidentally made a really good gay love song

Chromeo & the Midnight – Terminal 5 – October 4, 2024

Montreal twosome Chromeo and L.A. synthwave duo the Midnight’s joint tour has found them funking up North America together, and Friday night at Terminal 5 was a whole lot more of that ’80s-influenced funky good time.
