how much god damn fun he is. jax is a little jealous about how carefree tyler can be. but he loves how easily tyler gets him to loosen up and just enjoy life. tyler reminds him of his younger self, when he was boxing and when he was first in the marine. how much more mischievous and fun-loving he was. before life got fucked up. jaxon loves that tyler reminds him to have fun.

as much as he loves how non-serious tyler can be, jaxon also hates it too. he can tell there’s a lot more going on beneath the wild grins and wild times, and jaxon worry about his friend. but tyler doesn’t seem to take much seriously, and jaxon doubts he could get tyler to talk honestly about the more serious and more troubling parts of life.

had loving parents, but both worked constantly and tae ho was left alone most of his youth.

was an energetic and destructive child, and that only got worse as he grew up

dad gave him a guitar for his tenth birthday in an attempt to get him to sit still and focus on something

it sort of worked. he became devoted to music, but fell in love with punk, so his destructive tendencies became more directional and anti-establishment

dad died in a car accident when tae ho was 13. he was so devastated, he had to repeat his freshman year. but, he always struggled in school, and only graduated by the skin of his teeth

did a stint in Juvie when he was 14

suffers from insomnia and undiagnosed mild ADHD. has been smoking weed since he was 14 and finds it helps with both

tae ho and his mother moved in with his maternal grandfather, a stern, stubborn man who was intensely disappointed in his grandson and took every opportunity to demonstrate it (usually in verbal torment and occasionally with belt beatings)

got his first friend in his second go at 9th grade, Gabe Soo, who had an even worse home life, gained Jung So Hyeon as a friend shortly after (but not after a good long while of hazing)

moved out when he was 17, never looked back. his shitty studio apartment became a rehearsal space and home for the whole band

formed the band when he was 18 with his two best friends Gabe and Jung So. maintains it was the best thing that ever happened to him

played and worked and hustled for 4 years in NYC before finally getting signed to Blue Sounds after a spectacular and bloody show

befriended the drug dealer next door

drug dealer next door caused Gabe to relapse into drug addiction, so he and Tae ho fought about it

big fucking mistake because he literally tried to murder Tae ho (tae ho’s heart stopped for two minutes and thirty-seven seconds on the operating table. also the drug dealer burned the band’s apartment down

the experience left Tae ho with deep emotional trauma that has resulted in PTSD

shortly after he recovered and completed enough physical therapy to tour, Blue Sounds send them on a year long tour opening for several bands all over the country

after the tour, the label had them settle down to record at their headquarters in Las Vegas

Tae ho is recording an album with the band now, but they’re all struggling with how they’re being managed

Karma stared at the small delicate creature in her lap. it stared up at her with big, innocent green eyes and let out the most precious sound. Karma wasn’t a cat person by any means, but the moment she set eyes on the creature, the dark cloud that had hung over suddenly parted and let the sunlight through. A bright smile spread out on her face and she lifted the cat up to eye level, cooing at the small kitten and giving Tyler a thankful look. “Have I told you how much I love you lately?”

Usually she wasn’t the type to like being in quiet and serenity. She was adventurous and loud, always wanting to be surrounded by chaos and life. But tonight, as she walked beside Tyler. she felt a calmness come over that she wasn’t accustomed to. She tightened her shawl around her and smiled at Tyler, a sad smile, but a grateful one none the less.

She felt like a burrito. Granted, a very warm and very sated burrito, but a burrito none the less. Tyler had barged into her home without a word or invitation and wrapped her in a cocoon of blankets before she could open her mouth to protest. She felt like a mother hen was crowing over her. She side eyed him as Jane the Virgin played on the TV before them, but didn’t dare question him. She simply snuggled deeper into her blankets and went along for the ride.
