April 27th, 2019: During his world tour, Harry Styles chose to donate the proceeds from the sale of his Treat People with Kindness merchandise and part of the ticket sales to local charities. In Osaka, Japan, he made a donation to Shine On! Kids.
Shine On! Kids is a charity dedicated to supporting children with cancer and other serious illnesses, and their families. The charity currently operates throughout Japan including Osaka, but it was initially founded in Tokyo. Shine On! Kids was founded as the Tylor Foundation by Kim and Mark Ferris the parents of Tylor Ferris, a 23 months old child who passed away in 2005 from infant acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The Tylor Foundation started small to fulfill the needs of a single family with a child battling cancer, but quickly grew and was incorporated as a Non-Profit Organization under the laws of Japan in July 2006. In 2012 following the expansion of the charity throughout Japan the Tylor Foundation was renamed Shine On! Kids and has become since then one of eight officially certified by the Japanese government non-profit organizations in Tokyo.
