A.T.O.M. Stop Motion Puppets: Metringar and Tyloton
The color schemes of these two came out really nice, and it’s fun to see Metringar in particular since it’s based on a design I made for the Loch Ness Monster when I was ten - which makes Metringar one of the oldest kaiju in ATOM, in a way.
Just five more retrosaurs to go and I’ll have a model of every kaiju in the upcoming first volume of A.T.O.M.!

More retrosaur kaiju on Horror Flora! Today’s pair are a couple of sea monsters - the plesiosaur/loch ness monster homage Metringar, seen above, and...
...Tyloton, the requisite mosasaur homage.
Metringar’s design is almost entirely lifted from my childhood drawings of what I was sure the Loch Ness Monster really looked like. I made up a whole story about a family of nessies with that design, one that I sadly can’t remember the details of. There were at least six different nessie characters, though, and I’m kinda bummed I can’t remember more about it because I feel like it would actually be a pretty good story project to tell as an adult. Ah well - might as well use the design in the one childhood story that I’ve actually managed to salvage.
Tyloton’s design is based on a mosasaur eraser I had as a kid, right down to the color scheme. That eraser was fuckin’ boss.
