Ah, dear. I know, I know this is very late on my part--

I should have said much earlier than this, but I had needed a break from Charlotte. As her mun, I felt as if she were slipping from me a bit. I’ve realized that many of her threads had stemmed from first meetings. There are very few of those I actually enjoy ( @reverieo, barosucks, and nvklai being a few of the exceptions ). I also began to simplify her character to better fit a broad spectrum of muses, when I should have been focusing on quality of threads and not quantity. Her character development came to a standstill, so I spent a lot of time by the water and re-evaluated the facets of her personality, history, and the direction I feel she needs to move in these past few weeks. So my task list is to do create a family/plots page, create more self paras and headcanons, and, of course, get to replies. If we have a current thread going on, please LIKE this post if you are happy with its direction and I will double the effort to reply in a timely fashion. ♪♩♫ : Does music inspire your muse ? What is one song on your playlist that remind you of your muse ?

I don't think there's a single muse that wasn't heavily inspired by some lyric or melody I was obsessed with at some point. I'm a very visceral person, so a moment, sound, smell, painting really strikes deep with me. It is one of the reasons I post pictures in between long threads of text. Just to break up my hard work with some inspiration! That being said, for Charlotte, I had a few songs that started my construction of her personality and background.oo1. 인어의 눈물 by EXO-KThis song is what started it all. It's the original story of the Little Mermaid from the Prince's perspective. Just before his wedding night, he comes to find the love and fate of the Mermaid. Instead of sacrificing herself for his happiness and turning to foam, he asks that she cut his heart out with her knife and return to her life before. The song references that he wishes to burn all of the scars she received in exchange for getting to be with him, acknowledges that their fates have gone awry and are now coming to tragic endings, their ability to communicate in ways beyond language barriers, and her beauty from when she smiles to her sorrow. I think the song's title 'Mermaid Tears' is ironic, considering, in the original story and in Charlotte's verse, mermaids cannot cry. But, I think maybe the Prince in this song can see behind her happy mask and find the ocean of tears in her heart. That's the Prince I hope Charlotte can find, one day, but it hasn't happened yet. Also, there's a lovely piano cover for this song here with rain soundscapes!.oo2 The Sixth Station by Joe HisaishiI like to think this is the song that would play whenever Charlotte was found near a large body of water. I mean, can you think of what being in her head at that moment would be like? She's come so far, tried so hard for so long, been so miserable. To take a dip, to finally go back home, even for the most brief moment before turning to foam-- would she even feel its coldness before she disappeared? Or would it be like she, herself, became more and more a part of the ocean until there was nothing left? And all of this is practically calling her, enticing her from the shoreline but it would be such a waste to throw it all away now. So she just looks on and hopes that her sisters are settled down with nice families, that her father hasn't succumbed to old age, and that they hope she is still alive in some part of the world..oo3 Fade by Philtre ft. YounhaI think of this song whenever I think of Charlotte losing her Prince, somehow. The first time, he gets married and she leaves to wander the earth and understand humans more. Then, she stumbles upon his reincarnation and it's like a second chance granted by Fate. And this Prince doesn't recognize her, thinks she's crazy, doesn't want anything to do with her. Again, they meet. Again, they fall in love. Again, it doesn't last. Every time becomes less shocking than the first. Every time, she has to get used to a daily life without him until he reappears and stirs things up again. I mean, what about the reincarnations that die too soon? Or worse, the ones she outlives? Watching him grow old and die and just-- coping with it, returning to a normal lifestyle without her true love. Knowing that he'll be back at some point, but for now she's gotta focus on feeding herself and maybe even packing up to start a new routine elsewhere.

♨ : What's a muse you wish had lasted, but didn't?

songain-tiger ⇀ Just an 18+/NSFW warning, if you decide to look. Basically, I was getting prepared for this mafia-based, open RP. A friend of mine was the admin and set up a really cool system for it all. . . I had been an independent account interacting with others, but it made for good practice. Then, her life got busy and I just couldn't take on the whole thing by myself. But Nyx was definitely my most profane, violent muse and I loved that. She had a lot of flaws her confidence was making up for, otherwise she was pretty flat in the personality department. I wanted to work on her a lot more, and my writing has improved so much. If I were to bring her back, I think it would be as Hwasa from Mamamoo or Jung Nicole formerly from KARA. Also! I would need to have some friends to play the other gang leaders.

✿ : Do you have a mun FC ? If so why did you choose that as your FC, and if not who would you choose ?

The thing is. . . sanguinexx was sort of like a persona for me. She was played by Son Ga-In, who is my most favorite and beloved FC for pretty much. . . anything (also my favorite idol). That account was a lot more personal, a lot more complicated than just a muse. I mean, I made it together with somebody I truly loved and the only person I had at the time. Every bit of poetry, angst, etc. was really going on but handled through a fictional way. It was an outlet. Ah, I'm rambling. I would say my mun FC is Ga-In. Or! Just a bunch of fox icons I have lying around my desktop.

❀ : Do you like reblog karma ? Why or why not ?

Of course! It keeps the creative juices flowing, it helps my muse, it makes me feel way less awkward and lonely. Not only that, but I get the chance to help others by doing the same for them!! The only thing, though, is when tumblr eats your messages. It's so sad because it might make that person feel left out or ignored, but I promise I love ALL the super talented owls, turtles, and red pandas I'm following on this account. Humans, too. Love you.

✆ : Other than roleplaying, what is a hobby of yours?

A-Ah, well. . . I like to draw, dance, play video games, and swim. I’m not sure how good I am at any of those things, including writing, but that’s what I do actively. Passively, I like watching foreign films that make me cry or that seem too abstract for me to grasp the first time and listening to music.I think someday, soon, I might even put up doodles of Lottie and the people she interacts with. So, you might be able to look forward to that!

ツ : Who has been your favorite muse to play so far ? Why ?

I don’t have a favorite, since they are all my babies, but I do have my ‘Big Three’ that I dwell on a lot. It varies from platform to platform, but on Tumblr. . .deadsprxng (persephone-songain) ⇀ Persephone has always been a great interest of mine. She’s this Springtime Goddess for one half of the year and Hell’s Queen and Judgement for the other, it makes for an unconventionally powerful woman. Plus, there’s so much to be said for the actual mythology, which has numerous translations and speculations. My rendition of her is a little more meek, but ever as graceful and important as the other Gods/Goddesses. Nobody ever played as her Hades and nobody was available to play her antagonist, Zeus, but all of her interactions were wonderful.pevrlescent ⇀ Yes, yes! Actually, Charlotte is one of my most precious muses. I mean, I’m often dabbling in fairy tales and immortal characters, but this is a whole new twist! Because, for the most part, she’s entirely a modern, human muse. Her personality is deep, her development branches into so many directions, and she’s based on a character everyone can recognize (although I don’t know if everyone is aware of the dark, original Anderson’s Little Mermaid ). She interacts with supernatural and general characters both very well, she’s a strong little cookie, and she’s beautiful inside and out.tarxtshinminah ⇀ This. Character. Took. Months. I mean, we are talking about imagining an entirely new species, which is probably why her backstory is hardly about her at all-- it’s about her people. Now, of course I pulled strongly from theology and what was understood about ‘angels’ and similar supernatural species. Definitely the most stoic, judgemental, and inexpressive muse that I have. But it’s easy to warm up to her, and vice versa. I might even decide to dust her off, at some point, since she definitely needs the most development out of the rest.
