New Item on the Market
Item#910914 TRADE NAME: Im, Jinah GENDER: Female ITEM URL: item-imjinah.tumblr.com COMMODITY DESCRIPTION: The moment Jinah was born, something went wrong. No one knew the cause for it, but she was often the blame. Her father always told her that her mother’s last words were, “No child carries their parents’ sins. No child should carry any blame.” Unfortunately, those words were used against her in the form of, “These were your mother’s last words. She cared about you even when she was on the brink of death and this is how you respond? She would be devastated.” She was always misunderstood even if she wanted to do something for someone else. She lived with her father alone and suffered from verbal child abuse as well as bullying. When she was 4, what was left of the family packed up and moved to South Korea to live with their Korean relatives in Cheongju , for her father and his family was Korean. Her mother was Chinese. Although one would expect that it would be her mother’s parents that would treat her bad, this is not the case. As it turns out, her father’s parents absolutely adored her mother and were a pair of very prejudiced people. They despised Jinah and believed that if she hadn’t been born, then her mother would still be alive. This brings us to the story of how she discovered a shed in the middle of the woods and how she got her nickname. Her house was originally near the woods in the first place, so she had been out exploring to forget about her frustrations due to her limited activity. She was looking up at the sky and seeing the sun through the tree’s leaves when suddenly, there was no ground for her to step on and she fell. She got a few minor scrapes, but she rolled into a small, wooden shed. She looked inside and there was a small hammock, some pieces of paper, a notebook, a few broken up pencils, an old IPod, crumpled and ancient pictures, and a window. To her, it was rather cozy. The shed became her own personal spot, and she would go to it every day or whenever she felt like she needed the consolation from that secluded shed. She didn’t know who it belonged to; just that it belonged to someone with the initials of N.A., for those letters were carved in the door of the shed as well as the IPod. The songs in the IPod were full of songs that included singing and bits of rapping in them; it was how she started her interest in rapping since she would listen to those songs all day. Finally, she met someone whom she could connect to and that person had given her an amethyst, tear-shaped necklace. It wasn’t purple, though. It was a beautiful, blazing red color that gave her strength, even more than what she already had. She still wears it to this day. That person left a deep impact on her, but the memories of that person are vague and fuzzy. All she remembered about him was a deep, rich voice and a tall, well-built figure. When she told her father of her decision to go to move out, he immediately disagreed. They had full blown arguments over this and Jinah felt more frustrated than ever because she had finally found something she wanted to do, something she would enjoy doing. One day, he reached his limits and he struck her, hard, across the face with his calloused palm. Her cheek stung and she had felt the tears prickling, but she didn’t cry. Instead, this was the one time that she hit a family member; she clenched her fists and grit her teeth. Then she swung her leg and kicked him in the abdomen, shouting, “I DON’T CARE IF YOU FUCKING DON’T LET ME GO BECAUSE I’LL LEAVE BY MYSELF.” It was then that she was disowned from her family, but she didn’t regret her decision. Personality: Well. Jinah is someone who does not do things unless it is beneficial. On the bright side, what she considers as beneficial can be happiness, whether it’s an emotion inflicted upon her or someone else. It can also be made of materials, too, though. She loves watching people quarrel and argue immaturely, because she believes it brings her amusement. Oftentimes, however, she can be rather serious and keep quiet to the point where she just fades into the background and is forgotten until she makes a sound or someone realizes that she’s there. Jinah is stubborn. The idiom, ‘stubborn as a mule,’ is not a good description of her. She’s as stubborn as a giant boulder in your path that you just can’t get around or break through. Once she is set with an opinion or thought, she rarely lets go of it unless there is someone who willingly takes a jackhammer and drills their way through the boulder. However, even though she’s stubborn, there are times when she gives in because she really doesn’t think she would get anything out of it, hence her ‘benefit-obsessed’ personality as was aforementioned. Jinah is competitive beyond belief. Once her heart has been fired up, she will never, ever give up until she reaches her goal or defeats the person who dared to provoke her. This trait follows along with another trait of hers; determination. If she really wants to do it, then she will, and everyone around her would know it once they have a look at her eyes. She does not lose her temper very easily but at the same time, doesn’t understand the meaning of “backing down.” Jinah tends to bottle everything up inside of her. When the bottle’s cap finally explodes from the tension and pressure kept within, she panics and hyperventilates, something very uncommon because she can withstand and endure many things. Either that, or she would visit the rooftop and start screaming and/or shouting and punching the wall. She wouldn’t trouble or burden others and instead carries all the burdens upon her own back, the reason for it being “Their hatred and despising of me is a benefit. If that is not how they view me, then them seeing me as a good person is also a benefit.” No one ever took the time to figure out what it meant for they already loathed her because in order to keep them from being troubled, she would do something that would make them see her in a bad light. Whenever she smiles, it would be a smile of amusement or anger. She disagrees with the quote, ‘People are lonely because they build stone walls instead of stone bridges.’ Instead, she prefers this quote. ‘Some people don’t build wooden walls disguised as stone to block others out. Some people only build these walls because they yearn to see someone who would care enough to break through the disguise and break through these walls.’ Because that is a secret yearning of hers, something she has wished to happen ever since there was a certain incident. A word that is often used to describe her or a word that is used around her name is Notorious for she had created a reputation for herself from the people that were once her friends. Jinah can be thoughtful, calm, and cold. She will watch others as thoughts run through her mind, and make spiteful remarks that bring her amusement through another’s annoyance. If she believes she does not like someone or that person did not make a very good first impression, then they shall not be permitted any entrance to her heart. She is not one of those girls who are tough and cold on the outside but on the inside, vulnerable and sensitive and warm and kind. She is someone who is thick, inside and out, in terms of steadiness. That means she will not sway easily under influence and she will remain faithful to her own beliefs. Jinah, once she loves something, she will be jealous and passionate about it. She will not allow anyone to make fun of it nor disrespect it in anyway, and she often goes to extreme measures in order to keep others quiet about anything they dislike from something she loves. Very rarely is it ever a person. Go follow Nana~
