As per the last post in my queue, I rediscovered a bunch of Type-Moon (well, mostly Tsukihime) themed A Softer World edits sitting on my hard drive from way, way, way back when those were in vogue

I am going to dump the other approximately half of the ones that are worth posting on you now

So I'm far from the first person to suggest this but I'm pretty confident that the Foreign God is Type-Venus.

Notes has been referenced a lot since Lostbelt started. MHXX mimics Slash Emperor for her NP, Mash getting Black Barrel is a major plot point, heavy foreshadowing that ORT is going to be in LB7. Black Barrel in particular is notable because of the relationship between V.V and Gun God in Notes.

Type-Venus had massive trees growing out of its body in Notes. The Foreign God dropped the alien Fantasy Trees on the world. Notes's glossary describes Type-Venus as a giant carnivorous plant that roots itself in the planet and spreads its spores as it eats away at the planet, similar to the Fantasy Trees spreading the Lostbelts as they grow. Humans were also killed by giant roots when the Foreign God invaded.

The Foreign God was associated with Satan in Shimousa. Venus was associated with Satan as the morning star.

Something bugging me about Galahad:

Ok, so while him jumping ship is absolutely a dick move (Before anyone mentions how he was summoned because of experiments involving Mashu: Remember, Servants can reject an attempted summoning, AS SEEN WITH GALAHAD HIMSELF DURING THE CAMELOT SINGULARITY), It’s implied he knew about the (then) upcoming Lostbelts, at least since we (canonically, btw) beat Goetia to death with our bare hands, and yet, he didn’t think to tell anyone that “Hey, so there’s another Beast coming and it’s gonna try and do what is essentially a HGW on crack.”, even though we know from Midnight/Lostroom that he can possess Mashu?! WHY?! IF HE KNEW, WHY DIDN’T HE TELL ANYONE?! Is it because he thinks we wanted this to happen? Does he think that we had a choice in whether or not we fought through the Singularities? News Flash, asshole! WE HAD NO CHOICE! EVERYONE, EVEN SLIGHTLY MORE CAPABLE THAN US AT OUR JOB, WAS DEAD! THERE WAS NO ONE LEFT! HELL, WHY IS HE PINNING THE BLAME ON US INSTEAD OF THE BEAST/I-HOPE-IT’S-JUST-TYPE-VENUS RESPONSIBLE!

I thought it might be cool if the Types had the celestial objects they embody for eyes, so I tried my hand at drawing that. And I was right, it is cool! Creepier than I expected, but cool.

... I still haven’t figured out shading at all. Or most of the other aspects of drawing, for that matter, but I’m improving at those much more noticeably.
