this is so exciting for me because this has been in the works for a long time but i FINALLY got around to finishing it even though it’s a little short. i feel it’s because the ending never really got to me? so i re-did it a few times and i finally found the right groove. i hope you like it!!

Yamato and Mimi had just finished preparing Satoshi’s birthday dinner. He cooked the food and she baked the cake. It was just a simple party, just the three of them for now. Or four counting the baby inside Mimi. Satoshi liked to count them in already.
“Happy birthday, Satoshi-kun,” Mimi greeted as she brought out the cake. There were five small blue candlesticks on it and as soon as she placed it on the table, her son blew them all out with a single whoosh. “You haven’t even made your wish!” she gasped.
“I’ve already made my wish,” Satoshi said with a huge grin. “But I’m not going to tell you,” he added in a sing-song voice.
“You’re keeping secrets from us now?” Yamato asked, his voice steady, but he tried his best to hide the tiny smile he had on his face.
Satoshi giggled. “Only my wishes.”
“How can we make your wish happen if we don’t know about it,” Mimi asked teasingly.
“Tenma-onii-chan said that you should never tell your birthday wishes. I should only tell Tenma-oii-chan and Akihito-onii-chan.” Satoshi crossed his arms and nodded.
Yamato sighed. “Such a Takeru thing to do.”
Mimi laughed. “Next thing you know, Michiru-chan is acting like Hikari.”
“Mama,” Satoshi called, “do you think the baby will be a girl?”
Mimi tilted her head a little. “We haven’t asked the doctor,” she admitted. “We kind of want it to be a surprise.”
“Why? How will you pick out his or her name?”
“We have names ready,” Yamato answered. “But we want this to be a surprise this time.”
“But why?”
Yamato and Mimi looked at each other. “No reason, really,” Yamato said. “That’s just the way we want it to be.”
Satoshi frowned. “I wished for a baby sister.”
Mimi smiled. “Let’s hope the baby is a baby sister then.”
“But what if the baby is a boy?”
Yamato crouched to his level. “Will you not love him?”
Satoshi shook his head. “I will, but I want a baby sister like Chiru-chiru-chan.”
“Girl or boy, you’ll be the best big brother ever.” Yamato patted his head and grinned. “You take after me after all!”
Days later, Mimi and Satoshi were out shopping. They were going on a short holiday during the summer and Yamato wanted them to buy clothes while the season was still far. Mimi laughed and said that they did not have to worry. Yamato argued about the crowd.
As Mimi looked around, Satoshi was happily trotting beside her. She had bought him a new, small basketball set. While the headboard and net were in the cart, he was holding the ball. He was dribbling carefully but at some point, the ball rolled a little further. Luckily, there were not many people and he knew he could follow and get it without getting separated from his mother.
“Shit.” He quickened his pace and caught the ball before returning to the side of his mother. “I got it back.”
“What did you just say?” Mimi asked. Satoshi could not tell what was wrong with what he said.
“I got it back,” he repeated.
“No the–no, never mind. Just don’t say that again.” Mimi shook her head.
“I got it back?” he asked once more.
Mimi stopped in her tracks and bent down. “Shit. Don’t say that word ever again.”
“But Papa says it all the time when something falls,” he defended.
Mimi sighed. “He’s sleeping on the couch tonight,” she murmured.
“Why?”
His mother pursed her lips. “I’m going to talk to Papa, okay? But whatever happens. You do not say that word again, okay? Ever. You got that?”
Satoshi nodded. “Okay.”
Later that day, Satoshi was playing with the basketball set in his room when he heard his mother raise her voice. He could not make out what she was saying but he knew she was mad at his father. He wondered why that single word broke into an argument.
Night came and he was thirsty. He got up from bed and headed for the kitchen to grab a glass of water. As he entered the kitchen, he saw his father lying on the couch, a blanket covering his body. He walked over to the sleeping man and nudged him awake.
“Papa.”
Yamato opened his eyes and turned to look at him. “Why are you still up?”
“I was thirsty,” he said. “Why are you sleeping on the couch?”
Yamato grinned. “I made Mama angry.”
“Is it because of that word I said?”
“The one you’re not allowed to say?”
He nodded.
“Maybe.” Yamato twisted his body. “Do you want to sleep beside me tonight?”
Satoshi smiled. Yamato threw the covers up and the young boy climbed up. Once settled, Yamato fixed the blanket and hugged his son tight.
“Goodnight, Papa.”
“Goodnight, Satoshi-kun.”
Months later, Yamato and Satoshi entered the room. Satoshi begged his father to tell him if the newborn was a baby sister or brother. Although he really wanted a baby sister, he would still love his baby brother with all his heart and more. “Girl or boy?” he asked again.
Yamato shook his head. “I’m not going to tell you.”
“Satoshi-kun, come here, meet your baby sibling!” Mimi had a huge grin on her face, the baby in her arms.
“What’s a sibling?” he asked, looking up at his father.
“A brother or a sister, a general term,” Yamato replied.
Satoshi did not know what “general term” meant but he understood through the first part that a sibling is either a brother or sister or both. “That’s smart,” he said.
Yamato hauled Satoshi up to the bed and the brunette little boy excitedly crawled up to his mother and looked at the baby. The baby was sleeping and had blonde hair like his dad. He tilted his head from side to side, not sure if the baby was a brother or sister. He looked up at his smiling mother and asked, “I don’t know.”
“What did you want to name your baby sister?” she asked.
“Kiyo,” he said right away. “It means purity, doesn’t it? Akihito-onii-chan told me what purity means.”
“I hope it isn’t the other meaning,” Yamato muttered under his breath. But Satoshi did not understand what he meant.
“Kiyo,” Mimi said. “What do you think, Yamato?”
“I think it’s perfect,” he replied, patting his son’s head. “Better than any name we thought of.”
Mimi brought her arm forward. “Satoshi-kun, meet Kiyo.”
a gift for @himetsundere!! i know this is pretty late but i super hope you like it!!
tbh, i re-did this over and over again because i just couldn’t find the right vibes. but don’t worry, i had a good time doing it! also, it suddenly became yamato-centered but i promise, the ending will be worth it! (also, i said i’ll post it later but i was just too excited!??!?)

For Yamato, trying out social media was a lot of work. He never had a Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram; the so-called trinity of the social media world. He knew his band had a Facebook “page” (whatever that was), a Twitter account, and an Instagram account that was handled by their social media manager. He also knew that his bandmates had accounts on each platform.
He never really understood the concept of flaunting yourself online. He had heard from Takeru and Hikari that it was like a game of bragging. Sure, there were people who were sincere about their intentions in sharing, but it was time to be honest with themselves. And even though he was in a successful band, he still did not feel as if he needed one.
And he definitely did not need one right now.
He had just finished scrolling aimlessly at his band’s Instagram photos and began to listen to his younger brother again. Takeru had helped him learn about the “follow” and “accept” buttons–because of course his account is private. He also showed him the technique of adding accounts to his “following list” as well as accepting accounts to follow his.
“This is so complicated,” Yamato said in frustration. “I don’t need all these!”
Beside him, Gabumon took a peek at what his partner was up to. Patamon, who was sitting on Takeru’s head, leaned forward to watch the interaction between the two. Gabumon blinked then looked up at Patamon. “You look at all these pictures every day?”
Patamon nodded. “Takeru likes to look at our friends ‘posts’,” he said. “There are many terms I’m learning from these social media platforms.”
“Can we have accounts, too, Takeru?” Gabumon asked.
“I don’t think you’d want one,” Yamato said through gritted teeth.
Takeru chuckled. “You can’t turn back now. Besides, look at all the follower requests you’re getting.” Yamato did, however, feel happy knowing that his brother was his first follower. “Oh, there’s Hikari-chan,” Takeru started. “See this, ‘confirm’, if you want people to follow you, just tap that.”
Yamato tapped on the confirm button next to Hikari’s request. “If you want to follow her back, tap on this one, ‘follow’. Now, Hikari-chan’s account is also private so you have to wait for her to accept your request.” Takeru grinned. “Easy, isn’t it?”
“Yeah, easy,” he mumbled. He looked down again at his phone. “How do I decline?”
“Hm?” The younger one leaned forward then laughed. “You’re not serious, are you, Onii-chan? Taich-san’s photos are really nice. Hikari-chan usually takes them.”
Yamato smirked. He tapped “confirm” and then the “follow” right after. He scanned through the requests and was amazed by how his account immediately soared even if it was created just half an hour ago. He accepted the requests of his fellow Chosen Children, then his bandmates, and a few selected friends. He also tapped on the “follow” button for all of them.
Yamato was grateful for Takeru’s help, but his younger brother had to go sooner or later. Unfortunately, it was sooner rather than later.
“You’ll get the hang of it, Onii-chan,” Takeru said with a grin. He began to put on his shoes and brought Patamon into his arms. “When you’ve got the hang of it, we’re heading on to Facebook!” He laughed.
Yamato groaned. “I’ll see you, Takeru. You, too, Patamon. Call me when you get home.”
“See you, Onii-chan. Bye, Gabumon!”
“Bye, Takeru. Bye, Patamon.”
Once Takeru closed the door behind him, Yamato sighed. “This is really not the best thing to do, Gabumon. What did I get myself into?”
Gabumon climbed on the chair beside him and leaned over to look at Yamato’s screen. “Isn’t that Mimi?”
Yamato looked down at his phone, and sure enough, a photo of Mimi was on his screen. “Um…,” he started. “Takeru never told me how to ‘like’ photos.” He cleared his throat. “Which is fine, we can talk about it some other time.”
“Why are you turning red?”
He stood up straight. “I’m not. But um…Mimi’s really pretty here.”
Gabumon nodded. “Maybe you should tap on the heart below?”
Yamato stared at the heart for a while before tapping it. A heart appeared in the middle of the photo then disappeared. “I think you’re right.” He scrolled down some more, liking photos that were deemed worthy enough for him. He came across another photo of Mimi and liked it right away.
“Do you think you can look for more photos of Mimi?” Gabumon asked.
“I guess,” Yamato replied. “I don’t know how.”
Gabumon blinked and then said, “Can you tap on that name?”
Yamato was hesitant but in the end, he tapped on the name “yourgirl_mimi”, and to his surprise, it led him to her “account” as Takeru called it. “You’re better at this than I am.” He licked his upper lip and tapped on her most recent photo. As he scrolled, he liked every photo that he saw. It took him a while–she had a lot of posts–but he reached the end.
“That was a lot of pictures,” Gabumon said.
“It was, wasn’t it,” Yamato said with a sigh. Just then, his phone rang and he immediately answered. “You home?”
“Just arrived, yeah. How’s Instagram?”
“I’ve been liking a lot of stuff. Gabumon actually taught me quite a bit.” He heard Takeru chuckle. “I don’t know why or how but he’s actually helpful. Actually…,” he began. “I…went to Mimi’s account and liked every photo from top to bottom.”
Takeru stayed silent.
“Is that bad?”
Then he burst out laughing. “Oh my god, Onii-chan. You basically stalked Mimi-san.”
“Is. That. Bad.”
Takeru continued to laugh and Yamato was getting both impatient and nervous. “Takeru.”
When he finally calmed down, Takeru said, “It’s not bad, Onii-chan. But Mimi-san’s going to wonder why you reached all the way from her very first post. I don’t think she’ll think you’re a stalker though. I mean, she is your girlfriend, isn’t she?”
Yamato swallowed. “I guess.” Then his phone vibrated. “I have to go.”
Takeru laughed again. “Good luck!”
When they disconnect the call, Yamato was scared to look at who had messaged him. The text was from her and he winced, hoping that she was not going to think of him like a crazy stalker boyfriend. He saw Gabumon grin.
“Oh stop it, Gabumon.” This made his partner chuckle.
When Yamato finally had the courage to check his text, he could not help but feel a little lighter.
Hello Eve! I hope you're enjoying a very nice week. I am sending you Takari as a ship for the small writing thing. Thank you. I love you. 💖
Hi, Sam! So far the week is okay, had a good breakfast and just finished eating a donut, haha. I hope your week will be a good one, too!
And yes! A Takari fic is under the cut 😁 I hope you like it! I hard time choosing between this prompt and another, but I wanted to get out of my comfort zone a little so here we are! I’m so nervous honestly!! Edited once only though huhu.
I love you, too, Sam! 🥰 Enjoy!
“Yagami Hikari!”
Takeru’s eyes grew wide. ‘No.’ He turned to look at the women’s side and tried to find his best friend. He dreaded the moment she would step out of the crowd and walk forwards to the stage. ‘No. No. No.’
When she was finally visible to everyone, he felt his heart beat faster then he ever thought was possible. She began to walk slowly to the front as the lady who called her name coaxed her to come closer.
Takeru’s fist clenched. He was just about to raise his voice when someone beat him to it.
“I volunteer as Tribute!”
Like everyone, Takeru gasped and whipped his head back to where the voice came from. He should not have been surprised though, because it was Taichi, Hikari’s older brother, who had shouted.
“I volunteer as Tribute,” he repeated, this time calmly. “I volunteer as Tribute.”
Takeru was not happy. First, Hikari was called. Second, Taichi volunteered despite this being his last year. And third, he could not do anything about both.
He turned to look at Hikari and his heart ached for her. She was obviously heartbroken. He knew she was confused, but he also knew that she would not allow her big brother to end up in the arena.
Taichi walked to the front of the stage, passing by his sister but not daring to look at her. Hikari twisted as she watched him go up the stairs. The guards then arrived to take her away and back to her place.
The lady on the stage giggled. “Well, this certainly is a first here. And what is your name, dear?”
“Yagami Taichi. I’m her older brother,” he said, not bothering to wait for the question.
“Such a brave boy,” the lady said, nodding. Then she turned back to the mic and spoke.
Takeru did not hear anything else anymore. He could not wait to get out. He had to go to Hikari. He had to.
And when the crowd finally dispersed, Takeru ran to his best friend and held her close. Hikari cried as soon as he put his arms around her.
“It’s n-not f-f-f-fair,” she sobbed. He saw her parents walking towards them, their eyes glistening from the tears. “Why’d he-he have t-to d-do that.”
Takeru did not know what to say so he stayed quiet. When the Yagamis were in front of them, Hikari let go of him and buried her face on her mother’s shoulder.
Takeru felt his throat burn and his eyes watering. ‘What about Onii-chan,’ he thought. Even though his brother, Yamato, and Taichi never said it out loud, they were best friends and had a very good relationship.
“I’m going to find Onii-chan,” he said to the Yagami family. “I’m really sorry about Taichi,” he added, bowing his head.
Just as he was about to leave, he felt Hikari tug on his shirt. “Don’t go.”
Takeru sighed.
“I don’t want you to leave me,” she continued.
“Okay.”
Even with everything going on, Takeru always found time for Hikari. She was depressed, who would not be when someone you loved volunteered to enter a bloodthirsty game.
“Hikari,” he started when he sat down beside her. The game was about to begin and he and Yamato decided to stay with the Yagamis to watch.
She looked at him and cocked her head.
“He’s going to win.”
That made her lips quiver. “I know.”
He gave her a small, reassuring smile. Hikari leaned against him. “He’s going to win.”
The countdown began and before they knew it, Taichi was zooming from the stand and into the field.
aha! interesting! it’s simple but i super hope you like it! (unedited, forgive me)
mimi liked the idea of a knight in shining armor riding a white horse. she was always fond of them. perhaps because of all the stories her mother read to her when she was younger. she enjoyed them but she was more interested in the hero than the princess.
as she grew older, she wondered if it was because she wanted one. and lately, she had been getting dreams of a blonde man wearing a knight’s suit and on a white horse.
it always began with her in a garden. she loved the flowers, and the trees and bushes were very green, they were all taken cared for really well. but then there’s the horrible part. there was a riot and she was right in the middle of it. people yelling and pushing her aside, she feared for her life.
and then the man comes. his hand reaching out to her, he was concerned and a little afraid, but she knew he was concealing it with a determined look on his face. he was calling out to her, but she couldn’t hear him quite well with all the noise. when his horse trotted closer, she reached out her hand to grab his.
but then she would wake up, she had never seen the ending…she wasn’t sure if she wanted to or not.
a stroll at the park was what she needed that friday evening. she was tired and beat, she had just gone out with her friends for a drink but decided it was time to retire early. but not without a quick walk.
she began people watching, seeing couples holding hands, children either playing around or laughing with their parents, and an elderly couple beside her bench. she smiled at them when they noticed her, they smiled back.
just as she had turned away, the elderly woman called for a man whom she saw was walking towards them. he looked familiar yet she knew she had never seen him before in her life. “yamato.”
she tried her best not to look. he was very handsome. if only she could talk to him…then she shook her head and let out a soft chuckle. “what are you thinking, mimi,” she said with a smile.
“do you mind?”
she looked up and saw yamato looking at her, his hand gesturing at the empty space beside her. “sorry,” he said. “i’m supposed to be looking after my grandparents but they won’t make space for me.”
she smiled. “go ahead.”
he sat down and they were quiet. finally, she couldn’t help it. she turned to him, cocked her head and asked, “have we met? you look really familiar. maybe you have better memory.”
he stared at her.
“ah, sorry,” she said with a nervous giggle. “i didn’t mean to…well…”
“i was wondering the same thing about you,” he said, surprising her. “i feel like i know you. but surely, this is the first time we’ve met.”
mimi licked her upper lip. “this is strange, isn’t it?” then she laughed. “i’m mimi,” she introduced. she held up her hand for him to shake.
“yamato.” he reached for her hand.
that’s when flashes of her dream appeared. the same garden, the same riot, the same man. this time, she could hear him.
“princess!” he called. “princess, grab my hand!”
as soon as her hand reached his, she heard her name being called by the knight, but then her mind brought her back to reality. her hand was still gripped in yamato’s and she instantly pulled away. ‘what was that?’ she thought. “sorry, i just—”
“you’re her,” he whispered.
she inhaled sharply.
“you’re her,” he repeated a little louder. “you’re the princess.”
she was at loss for words. he was the knight? yamato, a man she had never seen in her life, was the knight in her dreams?
“i couldn’t save you,” he said with a shaky breath. “no matter how many times i dream about it, i couldn’t save you.”
she stayed silent.
“i’m confused,” he stated.
“same,” she admitted. “are you interested in looking into this some more?” at the back of her mind, she wanted him to say yes.
he nodded and smiled. “i would really like that…princess .”
Eeep I’ll never turn down an opportunity to ask for Javelia: Javi loves pigtails Amelia.
Aww! That’s so cute!!
I haven’t actually finished watching s2 so idk if there’s anything I’ve missed but basing it on what I know so far! This might be a little too short but I still hope it’s okay! I liked the ending though? I dunno. Argh this is so short I cannot. Send in another one if you want, and I’ll do better huhu 😭
Here we go (edited once so…huhuhu)!
Javi stared at the woman in front of him. She was concentrating on the work she was given, eyebrows furrowed, teeth grinding, as she did her job.
Although that was not exactly what he was noticing at the moment. Sure, he looked at her face because really, she was beautiful, stunning, a goddess. But what really stood out to him was her hair.
They were in pigtails.
And he found that cute. Really cute. Too cute.
When he heard her sigh, he cocked his head and asked if she was doing alright.
She shrugged. “I’m just a little stressed.”
Javi nodded. “Take a break.”
She reached up to her head and began to run her fingers through them when she stopped by the ponytail on one side. “Oh no.”
Javi frowned. “Wanna fix that?”
She shook her head. “Nah, it’s ruined.”
“Please?” He chuckled.
“Why?” She giggled. “You don’t like my hair now?”
“Of course I like your hair, I love your hair. I love being able to pull them from time to time just to tease you.” That made Amelia roll her eyes but with a smile on her lips. “But I really like your hair that way. It’s cute.”
Amelia laughed. “Alright fine. I’ll just head to the ladies’ room to fix it for you.”
Javi smiled. “Thank you.”
It was just a few minutes later when Amelia returned to her post, combing her hair with her fingers. “Better?” she asked.
Javi nodded. “You know how to make me happy.”
Amelia laughed. “I should.” Then, she stood up from her seat and leaned closer. “But I know exactly why you like my hair in pigtails.”
He gave her a fake, innocent grin. “I don’t. Enlighten me.”
After looking through JGL x Ellen tags, all I can think of is...
1.) The two of them waking up in the morning. Joe's got his arm around Ellen and her back's turned to him. Joe stirs first and he smiles down at his wife, kisses her temple and says, "Good morning." She smiles a little and says "good morning" back.
2.) Joe being an adorable dork while Ellen does something important. So Ellen rolls her eyes as Joe continues to talk animatedly. When he's done, Ellen says, "I love you." and then she pulls him towards her for a kiss.
3.) Ellen's trying so hard to cook a good meal while Joe watches, amused.
4.) The two of them doing hitRECord things. Ideas and all. And they'll post a video where they're looking for people to collab with.
5.) A season premiere for hitRECord on TV where in the opening, Joe officially introduces Ellen as his wife and will be co-hosting with him permanently (and when one is unavailable, the other will host).
6.) Beautiful children all around!
7.) Ellen wears the pants, obviously. But Joe is the man in bed. (Yum.)
8.) Ellen (and the children) cheering Joe up when he's having a grumpy day. Cake, drawings and new collabs.
9.) Ellen playfully scolding Joe in public.
10.) Joe being all touchy feely with Ellen in public.
11.) You know how in hitRECord on TV, Joe always asks if they're recording? Yeah, well, Ellen's first "are we recording" is so natural and genuine because Joe didn't tell her if the camera's rolling or not. (This gives me too much feels.)
12.) Joe being all possessive because he has to keep her away from both boys and girls.
I never realized...when Ariadne first wakes up from the dream, it looks as if Arthur doesn't really want to talk to her. And then when Arthur explains the time, it's too fast and he's not even looking at her. He seemed nervous.
So my friend and I were talking about comics and the thing with Marvel & DC. My favorite part was when we were talking about ships (me and my shipper heart). She asked me if I had any DC/Marvel ships.
ShadowWing. NightCat. Prydeson. Kick. Dick Grayson/Kitty Pryde. Nightwing/Shadowcat. Whichever you prefer (I personally like ShadowWing stylized this way: shadowwing).
I love Pete/Kitty and Dick/Babs, but this ship suddenly went to my head and I am loving them.
