well i mean the op of that post is anti sex worker and yes while the fact that people have to resort to that to live is a problem but like. the criminalization of sex work also hurts people sm and also a lot of sex workers are trans so, there's that too

i didnt read it as calling for the criminalisation of sex work but calling out the kind of weird pseudo-feminist attitude u see on the internet all the time that sex work is “empowering!✊🌱✨” when its obviously a harmful industry we shouldnt be promoting. it also drew attention to the real problem - that capitalism drives minimum wage so low and makes well paying jobs so hard to get into that people have to resort to sex work. (something we seem to agree on?)

the debate over criminalising sex work, the nordic model, etc etc are slightly different to what i think the post is addressing. obviously in that debate protecting sex workers trans & cis would be my priority!
