my lungs are inflamed with the air that i breathe

i try to exhale but it comes out a wheeze

and my mouth opens to suck in more air 

i hold it tight until my face turns blue

and my lungs start to sting 

i close my eyes and pray that i die 

but i get scared and that's when i remember

the smell of your cologne
