Wait I get it are barn owls bad for pets? Like, I've seen people keep them professionally; is that video uploader just some rando that's keeping one as a pet? I saw your thing about scottish folds so I get the cat problem there.

there’s a difference between keeping them in a professional location like a sanctuary or ambassador program and having them available for same to the public who know nothing about keeping a wild raptor.

first of all its illegal in many places. they need a huge outdoor enclosure to fly in, you cannot keep an owl in the house much less an apartment. a good enclosure should let a wild bird be in flight fly for about 5 seconds freely. without space to fly properly owls can develop a chest infection.

they are unpredictable wild animals with sharp talons and beaks and could easily leave you needing stitches.

barn owls can live in captivity for up to 15 years, that’s a huge time commitment to a very high maintenance animal. BARN OWLS GET VERY ATTACHED TO THEIR OWNER. if you raise one it will get attached to you and only you. it will call for your attention if you leave it alone for too long, you cannot go on vacation and simply hand it over for somebody else to look after. simultaneously, they are not social animals and do not like being touched or petted.

they also molt a lot, poop frequently, regurgitate pellets, and also clear out their ceca once a day. these are sacs at the end of the digestive system and the excretion is a tar-like substance which smells awful and stains everything.

This became one of the most fun but bittersweet review series I ever did as I picked apart, through monster design alone, how my all-time favorite horror game setting crumbled into something I found downright terrible.

Hey I've always been awful at art and never really tried, and I've decided to learn how to do pixel art through practice, determination, and stubborn refusal to stop until it looks pretty. Do you have any suggestions, tutorials, or resources for learning? I've found a program for the drawing part (GraphicsGale) but no clue what to use for animating. And more pressing, I don't really know how to... draw in general. Like, understanding perspective, or gauging where stuff should go or making -

HELLO im so sorry for replying so late BUT LIKE... i RLY RLY wanna do tutorials omggggg i should atleast add to my about me with like.. what programs I use AND I WILL SOON OMG!!!
