man, typhon. kit? fantastic. voice actress, particularly the EN voice actress? immaculate.

actual character design? the single biggest thematic mismatch between character art, character writing and the surrounding event

typhon, by rights, looks like schwarz. a Siesta character with an absolutely fuck-off huge bow. that's fine, that's something that's been in AK for years. But then they go "look at her! this elite demon hunter from the coldest, most inhospitable part of Terra" and we know what characters who explore the icefield dress like. Santalla and Maggie have been in the game for almost half a decade, wearing thick, quilted fabrics with windbreakers and the techno-mystic bits that tie fully into AK's fairly unique aesthetic.

Typhon has platform shoes like she's just coming back from a Siesta rave and has the sort of fashionable warm-weather asymmetry going.

It's so weird how much it feels like they rifled through their list of old character designs they never used for a character and went "yeah let's use that one next" and didn't really put any of their usual care into making the character design fit the writing.

Banger kit though.
