I finally finished to tackle salvaging this failed Artisan Guild Tyrant Eye print. For some reason 1/4 of its head didn’t print, so rather than scrap it, I decided to print a clear brain so I can stick it inside the head and light it up with a red LED. In found a flashing red LED already rigged to a button and battery pack. The flash made it seem like a throbbing headache. Great! Then I decided to make it a rotten wound, so I added maggots, and needed to come up with a riser to hide the battery and button under the base. So I actually designed a round cylinder in Blender to fit to size and printed it on the Ender 3. Success. Then one of the sections of an eye stalk didn’t print. So I painted it to looks like it was cut, and assumed there might not be any bones in an eye stalk. I mean, the anatomy of a beholder makes no sense as is (how does a brain and a big ole eye fit inside that head? It has a mouth, but where is its stomach?) Anyway, with the combination to wounds, I decided to make it a zombie or undead beholder. This is the result! It’s now in my Etsy shop.
