❛ Ah -- Did you want this? It’s the last one, but you can have it. ❜
It takes a lot, really, to even drag himself into the kitchen to prepare some dinner -- he always got this way when his team was taken out of the running for playoffs. There’s something about the off-season that never sits right with him. Playing for money was well and great, but anyone who knows him knows that he does it because he loves it. He sighs again as they recap Akashi -- now the starting point guard for the Golden State Warriors -- taking a shot over a defender from the Oklahoma City Thunder. It was up in the air, really, who would be the winner here. But for the sake of going for the team where he knew someone, he hopes that the Warriors come out on top.
After their third year of high school, both Kagami and Aomine had decided on careers as pro basketball players in the US -- and both had managed to snag deals in the same city. Kagami for the Los Angeles Clippers and Aomine for the Los Angeles Lakers. Ironically, Akashi hadn’t joined them until after completing Uni in London, but had still managed to rack up more wins than both Kagami and Aomine in his short time playing. Kagami’s face scrunches up mildly over that too. That guy was way too perfect... And he didn’t seem anywhere close changing that, either.
Speaking of, he glances over at the lump ( the very lump that has to deal with that perfection regularly ) on his designer couch, eyes shaded as he notes the cheeto dust clinging from the darker male’s fingers to the expensive fabric.
“ Oi... When are you goin’ home? I know Akashi’s outta town for the series, but still... You’re makin’ a mess. ”

“Daiki... You haven’t been avoiding me, have you?”

The springs of his mattress groaned under his weight. He has just fallen back onto his bed, hair towel dried and the excess water being soaked up by his pillowcase. He has just gotten out of the shower and was ready to fall asleep. Just then, his eyes fell shut.
