Since rejoining the Raiders a few months ago, Gaige has quickly learned how different things are nowadays. Sanctuary is falling apart, their Commander is a troublemaking teenager obsessed with the dark arts, and her dead best friend lives in the brain of the strangest member of their team. Thankfully, she's found companionship in the org's level-headed tactical advisor. Moze is everything Gaige isn't, and that's exactly what she needs to keep her grounded these days.
Unfortunately, returning to the Raiders means there's never a true day of peace. When Ava uses the magic of a stolen Xylourgos tome to blur the lines between life and death, old dangers resurface, and Gaige and Moze must contend with ghosts of the past both real and emotional.

Chapter 14 is up!! Very Calypso-heavy chapter, because I hate them and I want them to suffer [positive]
More controversial Borderlands opinions: We don't think that the Twins are significantly worse villains then Jack, we honestly think they're pretty good. They're probably second to Jack in terms of the series villians and second only because Jack is so good, not because they're bad.
They've honestly got as good motivation if not more so then Jack with their history with their father, upbringing, Tryreens powers and how that affects her interactions with people, Troys dependency on her for survival; also their relationship with each other and their overall loyalty even when they fight like siblings. They're honestly really cool villians and have a ton going for them
Frankly they're not bad villains in terms of gaming overall. They just had the unfortunate problem of coming after one of the most beloved villains ever and that's a goal they were never going to surpass.
Also we don't think they're livestreamer thing is dated or to specific to an era considering its been almost 7 years since release and cults of personality with internet celebrities are still a thing with major real world consequences.
Like I remember one of the biggest criticisms of them was that the internet celebrity cult thing would be dated quickly and 7 years later there's Tatertot, Clavicle and more. If anything the issue is more relevant now then in 2019, and yet we still see people critisize that part of their characters, as if its not directly a problem to this day.
The problem a ton of people have with the Twins largely isn't the Twins themselves its that they wanted Jack to return or for the next villain to be Jack 2.0 and frankly that would be both boring and lazy writing and we wish people gave the Twins a chance as their own characters instead or being upset they aren't Jack.
fucked around more
still thinking about this btw
