Edict for the Settlement of Foreign Expatriates
By order of His Lordship The Marquess of the Tyrellian March, various Unoccupied Spaces within his Domain shall be made available for the settlement by Foreign Persons, to be known as Expatriates.
Upon being given Leave to Settle, the Expatriate shall receive:
No less than one (1) hide of Land per Household, with an additional one (1) hide per four (4) adult members of the Household, for the Lifetime of the Expatriate, to be inherited as designated by the Expatriate’s Will. After one hundred (100) years of occupancy, the Land Grant shall revert to the Marquisate upon the death of the Owner at that time.
The Expatriate shall have the following Obligations:
If eligible for Thalassian Citizenship, to obtain or actively seek to obtain it;
To Gradually Repay any loans or grants to assist in settlement;
And to contribute to the Local Community in the all capacities required of Native Born settlers, including the Financial and Material Support of the First Muster and Martial Training for all adults eligible for the Third Muster, and membership therein.
As subjects of the Thalassian Crown, all Laws, Decrees, and Commands of the Regency shall be enforced in full upon all denizens of the Tyrellian March, not excluding Expatriate Denizens.
The document is stamped with the Tyrellian seal in red wax, below Arthamir’s signature. Jaira’s is below that, presumably as a witness, with a smaller seal of her White Rose sigil in white wax beside it.
