“Nothing man..Just think there’s better shit than alcohol you know?” He’d never really been a drinker himself, he’d avoided college parties when he could. Too many people crowded into one space meant too many people could potentially touch him. Besides no one really did the kind of drugs he was looking for. That’d come after college, not so innocent experimentation leading to the slippery slide of addiction. He’d kicked it...Sort of, he needed to be focused now more than ever. Didn’t mean he couldn’t lend a helping hand. “If you want something better..I’ve got stuff at my place.”

Living in the city, you got used to noise. It was a constant, but in the Wellick house, well insulated walls kept out a lot of noise, isolating the sound of the blender, making it echo, his jaw immediately clenching. It was odd to see Tyrell so out of his normal environment and playing homemaker. “Uh…sure, I guess.” His appetite was off, but go too long without eating something (it had been what, probably 2 days now since he last ate?) and your mind turned to mush. Elliot couldn’t afford to let that happen.

It’s always disorientating, the gradual shift from R to himself. Sometimes the alter made it last, dragging his heels until the very last second. Those were the worst times, the feeling that he was being overshadowed and consumed by something else, something he couldn’t quite grasp no matter how hard he tried to understand. As of late he didn’t want to, R scared him in ways he didn’t think he could be scared. Just how fucking crazy did he have to be to come up with a contingency plan to -fuck knew what Tyrell must have thought when he explained it - have himself shot in case he interfered? It was the kind of crazy he didn’t want to fuck with. So he grits his teeth and rides it through, pawing at the air for something to steady his weak knees. 

Where was he? His swimming vision wasn’t helping. It was all he could do to stay on his feet. Sense returned slowly, his face ached, his nose felt stuffy and full of blood, his mouth bruised and swollen. What the fuck happened? It took him a moment to realise just who he was clutching at, his eyes finally focusing on what he was clinging to. Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck. Tyrell...He manages to stagger back, letting his legs give way as his back hits the wall. It’s easier to just sink down and try to process everything.

“Yeah.” The world wasn’t going to save itself and whatever Tyrell wanted him to do could wait. He’d start with one line of code at a time or at least he would when he knew exactly what he had to do. Until then he was messing around with Tyrell’s desktop background.
