Tyrrell P34 "Six-Wheel Spirit"
I built the six-wheeled F1 car, the Tyrrell P34, incorporating references to the actual car and my own personal touches.
The engine wiring was handmade from brass wire, striving for a three-dimensional effect down to the smallest details.
The team blue was based on the blue of the Blue Impulse T-2, with a touch of white added for a semi-gloss finish and a subdued texture.
The kit is constructed using Tamiya's old motorized mold, with the addition of a new engine and photo-etched parts, and matching the parts was quite a challenge.
After actually assembling it, I realized, "Ah, this is what they mean when they say it's for advanced builders."
The base was made from recycled corkboard that was scheduled for disposal, and the linear gray paint, marker lines, and grass-pattern masking tape create a "lingering sense of speed."
Despite struggling to examine the details and make adjustments, I was able to complete the build while feeling the Tyrrell P34's "unconventional ideas" and "spirit of challenge."
