Ribbon: What’s a book that had a strong impact on you?
Oh gods. I’m not sure tbh… I’ve read a lot of books over the years but… recently I came across a book in my masters course called The Secret Lives of Stories: From Don Quioxte to Harry Potter by Michel Berube. It’s disability centric and essentially discusses the portrayal of disability in literature. It’s an amazing book and I find Berube’s writing to be very easy for me to read (which is a challenge because academic writing = evil). It has had a strong impact on me to such an extent that I’ve now ordered it for my dissertation because I’m using the HP article I was working on since last year (omg) and Berube’s book is so topically relevant to what I’m working on.
Eggnog: What was the name of your first stuffed animal?
Uh… it was a teddy that my mother bought me when I was born and I have no idea what I named it except probably a mish-mash of constanants and vowels lol
But I do remember having a GIANT Bugs Bunny and Slyvester teddies as a kid which, naturally were named Bugs and Slyvester
Reindeer: What is your patronus?
Uh… according to Pottermore it was… oh shit… I can’t remember! I just did one of those really extensive quizes online that combined all the Pottermore questions (better and with a heck of a lot more detail tbh) and came out with a Thestral… which I kinda like
