Drabble request for @marloviandevil; "LQG tries to make tea for SQQ and fucks up. SQQ drinks it anyway. LBH judges."
Luo Binghe only agreed to this because Liu Qingge had looked a little bit desperate when he’d asked. He’d looked as if, were he banned from this tiny task, that he would lose all motivation to continue onwards. The desperation had been hidden under the coarse, gruff way in which Liu Qingge had swiped the leaves from Luo Binghe’s hands, but it had been there nonetheless.
But Luo Binghe understood the desire to serve Shizun, to make something for him with his own two hands and bring a smile to Shizun’s face when he provides, so he had allowed Liu Qingge to take over the preparation of the tea for the evening. Their relationship was new, after all, and Liu Qingge was still clearly trying to find his place within their home.
Still, Luo Binghe wished he wouldn’t try to make that place in the preparation of tea. At least it wasn’t a meal. Luo Binghe might have actually bitten Liu Qingge if he’d tried to take over the kitchen. His ability to share only went so far, and his line was drawn at dinner.
If only he was better at preparing said tea.
He overheated the water until it was boiling, far more harsh than the soft green leaves that Luo Binghe had chosen for the evening to take. While he clearly knew the steps of the preparation, he made no mind of how many leaves to add to the pot, and added far more than necessary, then lifted the pot to bring to Shizun far sooner than the leaves needed to steep for. The tea pets remained unused, the first wash doubling as the first steep, apparently.
Luo Binghe struggled to keep silent, and figured that he could count this as his good deed for the day.
Shen Qingqiu looked up as Liu Qingge swept into the main room of the house, a smile blooming on his face at the sight of Liu Qingge and Luo Binghe hovering over his shoulder, clearly pleased to see both of his significant others. “Shidi, Binghe,” he greeted, affection clear on his face. Luo Binghe desperately suppressed the urge to go over and press him to the mats of the floor and kiss him and strip him of his robes and slip his hands inside and—
Well. Their relationship with Liu Qingge hadn’t progressed quite that far yet. Mostly, things had been heated kisses shared between the three of them in pairs, a slight bit of heavy petting and no more. Liu Qingge was combative and similar to a feral cat sometimes, which could be challenging in a good way and a frustrating one. Things were progressing between them all, it was simply slower than Luo Binghe might have liked. He still had fantasies of driving Liu Qingge to beg in front of Shizun, of spreading him out on their shared bed and making a show of him, of presenting him in the way that Shen Qingqiu would love to see.
It would happen eventually.
For now, he struggled to muffle his laughter as Shen Qingqiu took a sip of the scorched, under-steeped tea that Liu Qingge poured for him and froze, clearly unsure of what to do with the quality of the drink. Luo Binghe quietly slipped from the room to prepare a new pot as Shen Qingqiu did his best to assure Liu Qingge that he appreciated the gesture, which was surely true enough, even if the results were less than satisfactory. He threw back the rest of the cup petulantly, even as Liu Qingge tried to reach out and take the failed cup of tea from his hands.
Shizun and Shishu were so cute, Luo Binghe decided as he reemerged into the room to catch Shen Qingqiu yanking Liu Qingge into a quick, sweet kiss, shocking Liu Qingge out of his surliness at the failed tea.
Luo Binghe quietly set the pot down and ducked in to kiss Liu Qingge next. Tea could wait.

Heya! Good question. And thank you for regarding my judgement with such esteem! Very honored.
I haven't read MDZS (Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation) yet (started the first chapter), only watched the show, so on that side, I can't help you.
I read Heaven Official's Blessing (TGCF - no duh, you must have seen my posts 😆), and I absolutely LOVED IT. I couldn't put it down, it was so addictive. I'm deep into the fics right now, I cannot tell you how many tabs I have opened already (got hooked into the side-pairing because of course, the potentiaaaaal). Very besotted with that one. The plot is masterfuly constructed, the characters will make you foam at the mouth, the humor, the angst and the softness are perfectly balanced... Aaah. I love that book.
I think whichever one you want to start with is okay? Both have their own fandoms, MDZS has a live action show, a manhua (comic) and a donghua (animation), TGCF has a manhua and a donghua (and the live action started production in 2021 apparently).
On a personal note, having watched The Untamed first (and then a second time; and a third, and... right now I'm at 5 rewatch), I think that's why I find it more difficult to get into the novel - from what I've heard around, some characterisations and (maybe?) plotlines are a bit different from book to show, so I'm naturally reluctant to let go of the known (and beloved), but if you haven't watched the show, maybe you'll find reading the book easier. It is, after all, immensely popular (I like to state the obvious).
My personal opinion: read both, and start with whichever one attracts you more in terms of plot!
On one hand, you have Xie Lian (TGCF), once a glorious prince, then a glorious god, now a disgraced and forgotten deity roaming the earth and doing menial jobs to survive. He's extremely smart, cunning, resourceful and knowledgeable, but he likes to pretend he doesn't see and doesn't know anything because that boy is just Tired™. Love him. He's baby. Made me cry. Made me gasp. Made me scream in my hands. He's just like me for real.
On the other hand, you have Disaster-in-chief Wei Wuxian - my boyyyyyy! As I type this, I am literally wearing a white hoodie with a chibi Wei Ying in the back, a birthday gift from my sister 3 years ago, that's how much I adore this mess of a human being. And a mess he is. No self-esteem, no survival instinct, no emotional intelligence, he is simultaneously the smartest and the dumbest person in the room. Again, haven't read MDZS, so all of this is show-character.
Anyway.

Fox deserved so much better, he's a good guy. A poor combination of the Senate, old man Palps, way too much work, and probably some good old Coruscanti discrimination is a recipe for madness, but he is a good guy!

The idea of them as exes, because that’s funny, but also because I think they would get together while they’re on Kamino, but it was still too early to be in a relationship for them, so they broke it off because they weren’t emotionally ready for it.
What are your favorite things about the ship?
Because imagine the longing and pining after they get shipped out, the regret of having broken things off and the inability to get back together because Emotions, what are does?It’s a mess and it’s hurts but it’s also so good.
