hi, can you do “i’m not wearing any underwear. thought you’d like to know.” for tyson
a/n: this is so much longer than a blurb. i'm not even sorry. also, this is my shitty attempt at smut. apologies in advance for how bad it is. please do not read if you aren't 18+ !
The bar was crowded, but not too much that you couldn't move. The Handsome Gambler was one of his favorite spots so far. It reminded him of a place you'd find out west, with sort of a country vibe. Nightlife in Minnesota was everything he was told it would be, and even more so that he got to spend the summer with his buddies. He got to connect with friends new and old, one of those being (Y/N). They'd met back in North Dakota as freshman, and stayed friends ever since. She lived in Minnesota for work now.
Tyson wasn't physically attracted to (Y/N) at first. He cherished her friendship above everything. Sure, she was cute, but wasn't really like the girls he usually went for. But once she came home from studying abroad, that changed everything. She was no longer the shy, quiet, insecure girl who he became best friends with.
She was fucking hot. He felt guilty for seeing her the way he did sometimes, and how often he thought of her alone in his bed at night. But he was head over heels for her, both in the romantic sense and the lustful one. He knew something had shifted between them this summer, and the sexual tension was such a tightly wound coil, it was bound to snap at any second.
He hoped tonight would be the night. From the moment she walked in the bar with some of their friends, he was ready to drop to his knees right then and there.
(Y/N) was wearing a light blue satin dress, if you could even call it that for how much it covered. It hugged her curves in all the right places, showing off her thick hips and putting her breasts on display perfectly. Tyson had a ton of respect for women, more so than the average man he liked to think. But tonight, all that went out the window. The only emotion he was feeling was pure lust.
He hoped he could get a moment alone with her, but before he knew it they were both at least 2 drinks deep. Not enough to be drunk, but just enough of a buzz. He wandered up to the bar for another, and felt a hand on his shoulder. Turning around, he was met with his favorite set of (Y/E/C).
"Hi." She spoke, a sly smile appear across her face.
"Hey, (Y/N). Come to get another drink too? 'S on me. Whad'ya want?"
"Vodka Red Bull. And I also just wanted to get away from Liv. She won't stop trying to set me up with her dumb neighbor."
Tyson hummed, feeling jealous even though he knew he had no right to be. "I'm glad we're alone now. I can finally tell you how good you look. That dress sure was made for you." He flirted, reaching out to squeeze her hip.
(Y/N) smiled, reaching for her drink the bartender just placed. Leaning closer to him, she spoke, "Thanks, Tys. Also, I'm not wearing any underwear. Just thought you'd like to know." With that, she took a sip of her drink and sauntered away.
Tyson stood bewildered for a second, thinking. Did she really just say that to him? Was she being serious? He looked up, meeting her eyes across the room. He felt his cock harden as she made glances toward the bathroom at the back of the bar. Time moved in a blur, and before he knew it she was standing in front of him. Grabbing her hands, he slowly backed her up against the wall before they were face to face, his lips hovering above hers.
"Was I too forward?" She teased, a slight smirk on her face.
Tyson scoffed, using his free hand to grab hers that was settled on his thigh, moving it to his crotch. "No, I think you were forward enough."
"Going to do something about it then, Josty?"
Slamming his lips onto hers, he grabbed her leg and hiked it up around his waist. This wasn't exactly how he pictured their first kiss, but no going back now. (Y/N) let out a high pitched moan and Tyson felt his cock growing harder each second. She was spread open enough that he could feel her wetness on his jeans, and that was almost enough to send him over the edge.
Breaking the kiss, he swung the door to the bathroom open before picking her up swiftly and setting her down on the counter. He didn't bench 250 at the gym for nothing. Locking the door, he moved back between her legs.
"You sure about this?" He said.
(Y/N) let out a soft laugh. "Never been more sure about anything. I've only been dropping hints for like, 4 years."
"You're telling me we could've done this 4 years ago?"
"Shut the hell up and eat me out, Tyson." She said, smiling as she pushed his shoulders down.
"Don't have to tell me twice." He uttered, dropping to his knees. She placed one of her legs on his shoulder, pushing him towards her sex.
Tyson pressed a few soft kisses to her inner thigh, before making his first move. He licked a stripe up her folds, before landing on her clit. He circled his tongue around it a few times before sucking it lightly, then a bit more harsh the second time. (Y/N)'s hand was wrapped in his mop of curls, the other one gripping her breast. Her breathing was heavy, and her head was thrown back against the mirror. She let out a squeaky moan, her mouth wide open in pleasure.
Tyson continued his actions, this time pumping one, two fingers inside her. This caused (Y/N) to wiggle slightly, tugging a bit harder on his hair. Tyson rutted his hips toward nothing, moaning into her cunt.
"Fucking Christ, you're good at this, I'm so close." (Y/N) practically cried.
As if to bring her closer to her orgasm, tyson glanced up at her through his eyelashes, his free hand finding hers and giving it a squeeze. Making kitten licks to her clit and curling his fingers inside her, he could feel her walls start to pulse.
"Oh my god, fuck. I'm gonna cum. Fuck, Tys." (Y/N) wailed, feeling the coil in her belly start to snap. She moved to bring Tyson's head off her pussy, but he relented. She came harder than she'd ever before, from any previous partner or toy. A string of curses fell from her lips as Tyson rode it out with her. He licked up every last drop of her sweet juices, before pulling off with a squelch.
His hand still holding hers, he used his free one to wipe his face, licking his fingers that once rested inside her. (Y/N) sat, her back to the wall, breathing heavily and coming down from her high. She shook her head with a smile at his slutty actions, doing that while not breaking eye contact.
"Was that good?" Tyson spoke.
(Y/N) sat up. "Was that good? You literally just gave me the best head of my life and you're asking me that?"
Tyson blushed with a smile. "Just an honest question, babe."
(Y/N) leaned down to press a kiss to his lips. The kiss was sweet, and she knew there were feelings behind it for both of them.
"How's that for an honest answer, huh? Ok. My turn to return the favor."
As she pushed off the counter and started to drop to her knees, and fiddle wit his belt buckle, Tyson was sure he was seeing heaven tonight.
Author’s Notes: Bit of a time hop here - blazing through February and into March. Things are kinda heavy in this one, and it’s going to be intense for a while. Buckle up, buckaroos. Also I’m posting at like 2:30AM on TysonTuesday, so likely there are typos - yeah yeah I’ll fix ‘em as I find them.
Pairing: Tyson Jost x OFC (AJ)
Word Count: 3291
Warnings: Language. Tyson gets hurt in this one... hence the fishbowl he was wearing in March. Also there is a touch of dirty talk in here. 18+ only kids. I know it isn’t much but you don’t need to be reading if under 18.
Chapter 15 is at https://brainrattlers.tumblr.com/post/691451173095522304/play-it-cool-tyson-jost-15n
February 15 found both AJ and Tyson at Ball Arena playing against Dallas. The WAGs were sitting together, but AJ spent warmups at the glass at 120, holding her sign for Tyson. It truly was a new fun game for her to see how red she could get Tyson’s face to blush with just a silly sign. It was also a delicate balancing act of what the sign could say and slip it past security and the ushers. Tonight’s sign was just silly though, and figured it would at least get a chuckle out of him.
With sixteen minutes on the big screen over center ice, the Avalanche made their ritual appearance onto the smooth rink to the Dropkick Murphys’ “The Boys Are Back” - each of the men took strides onto the ice and the fans that were already in the seats cheered them on. AJ pressed her sign up against the glass, keeping her eyes on Tyson. It took him a couple of laps until Nazem jabbed him in the arm and nodded AJ’s way.
Tyson squinted from nearly the bench, but just shook his head, chuckling to himself, a blush tingeing his cheeks a few shades lighter than the burgundy on his sweater. Suddenly the crowd around AJ started cheering, patting her on the back. It took a few seconds for it to register why.
On the big screen was AJ, as was the sign.
I <3 the Avs, but I <3 Josty the mosty!
The crew at Ball Arena are a fun group of people - DJ Triple T playing the tunes that get the crowd hyped up, and the camera crew loving the crowd holding up signs. Usually it’s the adorable kids and their signs that get up on the screen, but for these brief moments, AJ had her moment on screen. They caught her giant smile as Tyson was still smirking about the sign, and then in a stroke of brilliance, had a big heart swipe across the screen before panning to Tyson on the ice, showing his stats as he was working on a shooting drill.
Warmups continued, and Tyson finally did his stick-handling drill in front of AJ’s section. Spinning toward the glass, he nonchalantly pointed at his adoring fan, mouthing, “Love you!”
The best reaction to this was not AJ blowing Tyson a kiss, but rather, the older woman standing next to AJ wrangling a couple children that she found out later were her grandchildren. But this sweet woman pointed at herself, and probably did turn about the burgundy color of the home team’s jerseys, mouthing “Me?” at Tyson. Being the absolute sweetheart he is though, he played along and winked at the woman in question.
“Oh my goodness, that is a man right there!” fell from her lips as she fanned herself. “I think he’s a little out of my league, you probably have a better shot with him than I do. Coach is probably a little more my speed anyway.”
“You’ve got pretty good taste, Bednar is a pretty handsome man!” AJ wasn’t going to deny that.
Tyson launched a puck at the netting above the ladies, and one of the two kids scrambled as it fell in on their side of the glass. With a quick kiss of his gloved knuckles, he fistbumped AJ through the glass and skated off to rejoin the rest of the team taking shots at Frankie. It was at that point that AJ’s new arena friend put it all together that maybe Tyson had a crush on AJ.
AJ couldn’t keep it a secret and spilled the beans that they’d been dating for about four months. Gossiping like old girlfriends, AJ was grilled about how they met and if he were a good kisser - you know, all the important details. But as warmups were nearly over, Dolores and her grandchildren had to head back to their seats a few rows up. She and AJ promised to chat again soon at a future game if the opportunity arose.
And while the Avs lost to the Stars 4-1 that night, Tyson had a new fan - AJ could hear Dolores cheering quite loudly when he landed a solid hit on Luke Glendening, and a second time when he hit Jason Robertson. Turning around and looking up, a long distance high-five was shared between the two women.
The rest of the month was a blur due to a 4 game roadie, the longest that Tyson and AJ had been separated since early in December. AJ was at work most of it, but the evenings were spent either with Jess or some of the WAGs watching the games from someone’s home. It was still a little weird to AJ, it felt like she was just forced into a sorority she wasn’t quite prepared to be in - their lifestyles were so different to what she was accustomed to, she literally felt awkward and missed having Tyson or Nate as her security blanket. But she did her best to fit in and be social - as long as she and Tyson were together, this was kind of an unspoken expectation of her. Not wanting to let him down, she really did try.
The running joke at home though always was, “Please don’t be a blonde Barbie when I get home, I love my girl, nay, woman, as she is. Don’t let them change you.”
It usually ended up becoming Tyson listing all the things he loved about AJ… some things were wholesome:
“I love your curly hair. It makes me feel better about myself when we both wake up with bedhead.” (By the way, there have been several bedhead photos that both Tyson and AJ had shared since the war broke out on Instagram.)
“I love how smart you are. I don’t know how you always fix my phone when it doesn’t sync with my Macbook, but you’re badass with it.”
“I wish you’d let me spoil you more, but I love the fact that you’re stubborn about that and want to be able to take care of yourself, your independent streak. I still want to spoil you though. Why won’t you let meeee?”
And other times… it got a little more on the adult side.
“I love those hips of yours, they’re perfect to grab onto when I have you leaning over the counter in the kitchen…”
“Tyson…”
“Also I love your ass.”
“Why do you love my ass?”
Tyson squinted before smiling. “No reason other than I just do.”
Ever the hype man, Tyson Jost is.
But back to the story at hand. AJ tried to assimilate, but keep her identity as much as she could. She found herself in the group chats more, and trying to help set up activities for everyone to partake in. A few nights were spent at the Landeskog home, with Mel being the captain of the WAGs for lack of a better title. She was always a gracious hostess, and was consistently trying to keep AJ engaged with the group - it definitely made things easier when it felt like there were a few people that were welcoming her as one of them, not just “Nate’s friend” as it used to be.
It was also nice to have some people to hang out with when Jess was working overnights. AJ was finally seeing it as expanding her friend circle instead of forced interactions. (And slowly, Jess was added to the group, as things with Nate continued to go well. The two were pretty quiet about the relationship, Nate more than Jess, but that was just Nate’s style.) Having drinks and going to the games, sitting together was becoming more common, but more times than not, AJ still kept her normal spot in 120.
But it was a night in early March that she was going to realize she needed some support. Late in the game against Calgary, AJ watched the puck sail through the air and make direct contact with Tyson’s mouth. He crumpled to the ice, but quickly got up, holding his glove over his mouth. Immediately he was ushered down the tunnel, and AJ sat wide-eyed, completely unsure of what to do. This wasn’t like Tyson - the man may have the personality (and hair) of a labradoodle, but on the ice, his work ethic takes on the attributes of a pitbull. He’s not usually one to stand down.
This time, however, he had to. The thing though was there was no one to fight with on this. It wasn’t an intentional shot at his face. It simply was a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. (On the other hand, he did break up the play.)
Mel looked over immediately checking in with AJ. She could clearly see the panic setting in. Instantly, she grabbed AJ’s hand and squeezed it.
“He’s going to be alright, you saw him get up and skate off on his own, that’s a good sign.”
AJ was still in shock, not really responding, not sure of what to say or do.
“He’s going to be alright. I’ll see what I can find out, okay?”
All AJ could do was nod. It was taking all of her power not to start crying on the spot.
Mel was texting away, when AJ’s phone buzzed. She instantly looked at the screen.
Jess: Holy fuck, what happened?
The phone buzzed again.
Jess: I saw the replay, I didn’t see blood. I think he’s alright.
AJ: Mel’s trying to find out. I… don’t even know right now. Like what the fuck, you know? It wasn’t a dirty play but I feel like I’m going to throw up.
Mel grabbed AJ’s attention with news as the game continued, tied 3-3. “Sounds like it might be a long night. He definitely got hit in the mouth. I don’t know how bad it is, but he’s going to spend a lot of time at the dentist soon.”
The arena horn sounded for the end of regulation, still tied 3-3. The zambonis came out and did a quick sweep of the ice, with the game going into OT. And just as the players were getting ready for the start of 4-on-4, Tyson emerged from the tunnel, back onto the bench wearing a fishbowl.
Mel pointed, “That’s your pitbull right there. But damn it if these men are not smart. I remember when Gabe lost his tooth a while back. He was so proud of it.” She was making an attempt to get AJ to laugh to break the tension.
But all AJ could see was how puffy his mouth looked, likely packed with gauze, behind the cage.
Suddenly she was angry with his stubbornness, but at the same time, it clicked. They just want to play. That’s what they do. Injuries be damned if they can help it.
Unfortunately, Calgary wrapped it up early in OT to win 4-3.
Tyson didn’t even have a chance to play. He tried so hard to be able to come back out and finish the game. Yet he was the first one off the bench and into the locker room. AJ still wasn’t sure what to do, other than she sent a text that she wasn’t sure when he’d see. Surely he was getting slammed with texts and calls from Laura, probably Kacey, and a few other friends. But AJ needed to text him for herself, just to try to calm her own anxieties.
AJ: Tell me you’re okay. Please… tell me you’re okay. That fishbowl was not a good look.
Never fails that in the face of fear and anxiety, AJ uses humor as a defense mechanism.
Mel and AJ hung out in the hallway near the locker rooms, not knowing what to expect. With every buzz of AJ’s phone, she looked, hoping it was Tyson. It never was. That was probably the longest hour of AJ’s life, waiting to hear back anything.
The only salvation was Gabe walking out with Tyson. AJ had guessed that Mel texted Gabe, and Gabe brought him out as soon as they could get out after media availability. It broke Tyson’s heart seeing her there, eyes red, and Mel reassuring her as they walked up.
“See, he’s upright, he’s walking… he’s alright. Now go, do what you need to do!”
AJ slowly approached him, unsure of even how to start things off. She just looked at him with sad, confused eyes. It was like he was glass and she was afraid of breaking him if she touched, or even looked at him, incorrectly. Tyson’s heart was shattering into even more tiny shards when he looked her in the eye and a tear fell down her cheek.
Going against his better judgment, the space between them was closed as Tyson scooped AJ into his arms, her tears silently soaking his suit jacket. Closing his eyes, he attempted to rest his cheek on top of AJ’s head and winced. Trying not to further injure him, she slowly turned her face up to his, seeing more of the swelling setting in, and a definite fat lip. He attempted to whisper with a mouthful of packing.
“ ‘m so sorreh, ah pwomished yuh I beh safe…”
Words lisped as they came out of Tyson’s broken mouth. He felt AJ continue to cry and hold onto him tighter, until Mel put her hand on AJ’s shoulder. Looking over at Mel, Gabe told Tyson he needed to get going if he was going to save his teeth.
This was NOT what AJ needed to hear, as it set her off in a whole other wave of panic. She looked up at Tyson, eyes pleading.
“ ‘m alwigh. Jus godda goh to the denhis.”
For some reason, the way he said it made AJ laugh, intentional or not. But he was silently relieved.
Mel offered to let her stay at their place that night as it had been pretty traumatic, but AJ insisted she was okay. And Tyson knew it. That breakthrough laugh was his reassurance. He knew she wasn’t TRULY okay, but she would be after processing things, and a good night’s sleep. But he also knew she probably wasn’t going to be able to sleep, if he knew AJ like he thought he did.
Tyson hugged her tight one more time, and fought the urge to kiss her, as he knew it would end badly.
After re-insisting she’d be okay, she did promise she was going to call in to work the next morning, and promised she’d call either of the Landeskogs if she needed anything. Although still kind of emotionally numb, she sat in her car, texting Jess.
AJ: He’s heading to the dentist. Insisted he’s okay, but his mouth is definitely packed, and Gabe mentioned ‘saving his teeth’ and needing to get to the dentist asap. He can’t have a hockey smile. I’d love him still but… if I wanted to kiss EJ, I’d kiss EJ. (I don’t want to kiss EJ. I want to kiss Tyson.)
Jess: Fuck, if you need anything, let me know.
(another buzz shook AJ’s phone.)
Nate: You alright?
AJ (to Nate): No, but I’ll get better when Tyson gets done with whatever he’s got going on. Gabe mentioned his teeth.
Nate: Oh yeah you should have seen them! Oh, shit, that probably wasn’t the right thing to say.
AJ: … you’re lucky I know you’re laughing as you’re sending that. You’re an ass.
Nate: I know. If you hear anything, let me or Jess know, okay?
AJ finally started her car, but instead of heading to her own home, she was on autopilot and pulled her car into a spot on the street near Tyson’s apartment. She probably should have gone to her own home, and cuddled up with Maple the Bear, but instead… she just straight up felt the need to be surrounded by all things Tyson. Her fingers fumbled with the key in his door, but she let herself in, and simply plopped into the papasan chair in the corner near the fireplace in the living room.
All the feelings she had bottled up in front of Tyson, Gabe and Mel came pouring out. The tears started flowing again and she couldn’t stop them. Between sobs, she managed to email her supervisor letting him know she wasn’t going to be in that morning. And as her final tears fell, she texted Tyson, after the weight of his muffled words actually hit her.
AJ: I know it was an accident, you didn’t break your promise. I love you, and will love you even if you’re missing teeth. (AJ laughed a little to herself) Less teeth means more tongue, right?
With being pretty damn emotionally drained, AJ grabbed a glass of water before crawling into Tyson’s bed, cuddling up with his pillows that enveloped her in a scent that made her feel the most calm that she had been since the incident. Eyelids heavy, sleep overtook AJ.
In fact, she slept through her regular Monday morning alarm going off (or she shut it off, it’s hard telling), and kept sleeping. AJ wasn’t even roused when the front door lock clicked, and a very tired Tyson walked in, dropping his bag onto the sofa. He stopped in the kitchen groaning at the fact he couldn’t eat solid food and was starving as he hadn’t really eaten since his late afternoon dinner prior to the game the night before.
Grabbing a shaker, Tyson snagged some almond milk from the fridge and put in some protein powder and shook the bottle. But he stopped as something seemed odd, something caught his eye - a glass sat next to the sink.
Tyson wasn’t one for leaving his water glasses out. But he knew someone that always left one near the sink.
Putting the shaker on the counter, he skipped steps to get upstairs to his bedroom. Quietly peering through the door, Tyson found AJ curled up under all the blankets, holding his pillow tightly to her body. He tried to smile but whimpered softly at the soreness in his face. His heart that had been broken in a million pieces the night before was instantly glued back together with the sight in front of him. Fearing his growling stomach was going to wake her up, he tiptoed back down the stairs to grab his shake and a straw, trying to figure out how to drink and avoid stitches and all of the gauze still in his mouth as he had some tissue damage inside. But as soon as the shake was gone, he crept back upstairs, stripping down to his boxers and crawled into bed.
Trying to pull his pillow out of AJ’s grip proved difficult, and he accidentally woke her up in the process.
After she was fully with it, looking around and remembering she was at Tyson’s, and he was in fact in front of her, she scooted closer, wrapping herself around him.
And not even thinking what had occurred in the last 16 hours (Yeah it was close to 1pm, AJ slept nearly 10 hours and that is about how long Tyson had spent at the dentist) - AJ leaned up and attempted to kiss Tyson. Her lip barely grazed his, but the damage was already done.
AJ cringed.
Tyson mumble-screamed “MUV-ER FUV-VER!”
It was hard for Tyson to take AJ seriously as she giggled at his slurring words while trying to apologize, but in his heart he knew she didn’t mean to hurt him.
It was going to be a long few weeks without kisses and other extracurricular activities, especially with his jaw partially wired shut.
