CHATZY: “I think I wanna marry you.”
Who: finnxparker, scarlettlyons, johannparker, tysterling, christinaxgalloway, grxhamkent
What: Finn and Scarlett threw together a wedding in a total of about two hours.
Where: Northpoint’s Roman Catholic Church
Finn: Finn was standing at the altar, Ty still fiddling with his tie as he waited for Scarlett to come down the aisle towards him. "Ty, she's literally coming at any second, is this /really/ the time for you to be this nitpicky? I don't think this is the time. I /really/ don't think this is the time. How embarrassing would it be if the first thing she saw of me was you telling me how bad I look??"
Scarlett: Scarlett stood out in the hall behind the closed door to the inside. She took a deep breath as she felt her heart racing for this moment. Turning to Johann with a smile, "I'm no nervous. How do I look? Do I need to fix my hair? Oh my god, is my make-up good?" She panicked a bit, trying to find a mirror quickly to see if she looked alright.
Johann: Grinning, Johann waved off her concerns. "Would you calm down woman," he announced, trying to get in her path. "Deep breaths please, your sanity depends on it. You're all set Scar. Not a thing is amiss. Frankly, Finn has such heart eyes for you, garbage bag chic would impress him." Chuckling as it odd sense of humour tapered it off with a sigh. Sincerity slipped into his previously jovial tone as he spoke. "You're perfect for him Scar. Don't ever doubt that."
Ty: "Now is most definitely the time," Ty said, voice quiet through a smile. “How embarrassing would it be if the first thing she saw of you was you looking as horrible as I say you do?” He straightened the knot of Finn’s tie, smoothed out his collar, and patted a wrinkle out of the shoulder of his jacket. “Relax. You already got the girl – this? This is the easy part.” He gave Finn a wink before turning and stepping back beside him, folding his hands in front of him.
Chris: Chris sat in the front row, holding her wallet on her lap as she glanced up at Ty and Finn messing around with the tie. She laughed a little, looking down at her lap as she waited. [i believe this is what she's suppose to be doing xD. don't judge me]
Graham: Graham sat next to Chris, glancing between the alter and the door that he supposed Scar would be coming through. He'd promised her that he'd catch her if she tripped, and damnit (sorry, God!) if he was going to keep his word. He smiled at Chris as she laughed, gently knocking his shoulder against hers. It was good to see her smile.
Finn: "You're right. You're right. I'm good. I'm good, I'm good, I'm good." Finn let his breath huff out quietly. "You're right. Okay. Tie's good, socks are black, shoes are shined, suit is pressed...uh...hair! How's my hair?" His voice was a storm of a whisper, still almost silent but furious in tone. "I'm freaking out."
Chris: Her head turned over to Graham, Chris looked at him. "Can you believe it? Little Scar and little Finn married people." She wiggled her eyebrows at him, pressing her lips together. "Are you going to be next?" She asked quietly.
Scarlett: Scar nodded and chuckles as he described a look, "Okay okay, sorry." She took a deep breath and smiled at him more brightly. Her gaze softened at his words and she moved to hug him. "Thank you Jo, so much." She whispered then pulled away and loops her arm in his. "I'm ready."
Johann: "Alright, enough mushy stuff." He mentioned, as they pulled apart from the hug. "This is it." With a curt nod, he stepped forward, leading them both out of the room and into the hallway leading to the pathway that ended at the Church's altar. Beaming at his twin, Johann waited till the music gave the cue. Measured steps paved the way to where Finn stood.
Ty: "Yeah, you're good. You're great," Ty said, taking a lateral step closer to Finn. His gaze caught on Chris in the front row, and he smiled at her, and kept smiling at her, even as he spoke quietly to Finn. “Freaking out,” he mocked gently. “Those butterflies you feel? Better get used to feeling them every day for the rest of your life. First thing in the morning, last thing at night.” His gaze was pulled from Chris to the door that opened, and Johann and Scarlett appeared, he nudged Finn with his elbow, grinning growing even wider.
Graham: "Isn't it bad luck to call them married before they actually say their vows?" he asked thoughtfully, but, all the same, he shook his head bemusedly. "No. I can't." Graham smiled at the idea of marrying Juliet. "I really hope so," he whispered back.
Chris: "I don't know." Chris shrugged her shoulders a little, putting her fingers over her mouth. "I'll have to be more careful." She laughed quietly as she turned her head back towards the doors that opened. She stood up and turned her gaze towards Graham. "Me too." She put her hand on his arm, crinkling up her face as she turned her head over towards Ty and Finn for a second and then turning it towards the open doors.
Father Matthews: When the doors opened, he clapped a hand on Finn's shoulder with a smile as the church organist started playing music for Scarlett and Johann to walk down the aisle in time with. "I'm proud of you, son."
Finn: Finn nodded, taking a deep breath before chuckling softly. "Man. I'm ready. I'm ready." He nodded, holding his arms respectfully in front of him, his posture calm and collected until the doors open. At the sight of Scarlett, there was no wiping the grin from his face. When the priest gently put his hand on Finn's shoulder, Finn nodded. "Thanks," he whispered, his world feeling like it was coming to his sense through a fog. Everything was surreal.
Scarlett: Scarlett beamed when the doors opened and the music started playing. She took another deep breath, her eyes met Finn the moment doors opened in front of her and Johann. She started walking down the aisle with him, her heart pounding out of her chest as they walked.
Johann: At the altar, Johann studied his twin, the energy rolling off him was positive and absolutely infectious. It was good to see him happy. Taking the arm Scarlett had looped around his, he brought it to Finn's placing them together. In a sense, this was much like when the trio first met. If it wasn't for Johann impersonating Finn, they would not be here today. "No return policy." He warned. "Be happy, you two."
Ty: 'Be happy' - it seemed like such a simple instruction. Ty grinned at all of the interactions - Finn and Scarlett were at the center of a lot of love and care, and he hoped that it would stay like that for ever, and they would always be as happy as they were right now - though Finn still looked a tad panicked, staring, almost starstruck, at his bride.
Graham: Graham smiled, placing his hand over Christina's as they watched Scarlett and Johann walk down the aisle. She looked beautiful, and seemed confident and sure coming down the aisle. Nary a quiver in her step. Graham smiled as she passed their seats and continued on to Finn.
Father Matthews: Father Matthews cleared his throat, looking at Finn and Scarlett with what could only be described as a fatherly affection, waiting for the organ to finish before he started speaking. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here in the sight of God, and in the presence of these witnesses, to join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony; which is an honorable estate, instituted of God. It is therefore, not to be entered into unadvisedly, but reverently, discreetly, and in the fear of God. Into this holy estate these two persons come now to be joined. Please, join hands." He paused. "Finn, do you intend to take this woman, whose hand you hold to be your lawful wedded wife; and do you pledge before your friends and family assembled here today to love and honor her through good times and bad; keeping yourself unto her alone until death do you part? If so, answer 'I do.'"
Finn: Finn took her hands, rubbing his thumbs over her knuckles. "You look beautiful," he whispered, a grin still splashed across his face. He took the ring out of his pocket, their grandmother's ring, old but still a sparkling silver and slid it onto Scarlett's finger. "I do."
Scarlett: Scarlett smiled when she stood before Finn, her hands in his with a smile as her eyes never left his as Father Matthews spoke. She looked down at the ring in awe of how beautiful it looked. She looked up at him and smiled even more.
Johann: Johann reached into his inner jacket pocket to retrieve the ring for Finn. Exhaling he opened the small square velvet box, readying it to hand over to Scarlett. "Scar," he murmured getting her attention.
Father Matthews: Father Matthews turned to Scarlett. "Scarlett, Do you intend to take this man, whose hand you hold, to be your lawful wedded husband; and do you pledge before your friends and family assembled here today to love and honor him through good times and bad; keeping yourself unto him alone until death do you part? If so, answer I do”?
Scarlett: Scarlett took the ring from Johann and mouthed, thank you, to him. She turns her attention to Finn and smiles, then slid the ring on his finger. "I do."
Father Matthews: "With the power vested in me by the state of Maine, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the—"
Finn: Finn didn't let him finish before pulling Scarlett into his arms and kissing her.
Scarlett: Scarlett smiled into the kiss and kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck.
Johann: Johann cupped his hands around his mouth and hollered. "Get a room!" Clapping he cheered the couple on with exuberance.
Ty: Ty laughed at Johann's exuberance, grinning at the happy couple, and clapping a hand on Finn's shoulder once they'd separated. Maybe the officiant was supposed to be announcing them for the first time, but - it didn't seem to matter. Ceremony was lost to the small gathering.
