13: Do you prefer writing with small casts of characters or large ones?
I honestly love large casts! Juggling three or more characters in one scene is one of the few writing tricks that feels like it came pre-installed on my brain. It just always ends up happening. But anything that comes naturally has a downside, and for this it’s that I used to struggle a lot with keeping a consistent POV. My original style was a truly horrible unintentional omniscient POV. It’s evident even in something from five years ago like TWTBW. These days, I try very hard to stick to one POV per scene break. With a few exceptions.
17: How far along are you in your current WIP? How long have you been working on it?
My current original-story WIP is pretty new. I’m only right now brainstorming it and I’ll be outlining it this fall for NaNo. My current fic WIP started in June 2016 and I really, really, really hope to be finished with it before the end of this year.
