You know what girl, I just admire the heck outta you for persevering at all. The landscape for writers these days is so barren that tumbleweeds are more frequent than feedback, and that's aside from the pass-agg garbage anons you have to deal with. Most people would've quit by now. (I did.) You're strong, and some people just see a light and feel the shitty selfish need to put it out.

The gift was wrapped in brown paper recycled stolen from Gideon's, held gently in both hands as if the breeze blowing down Haddonfield's street would pry the package from his hands and send it rolling down the road. The contents: a navy mechanic's jumpsuit, freshly pressed, that Ghostface had specially requested from the Entity (there were perks to being favored). Some minor adjustments had been made to the fabric to ensure the suit would fit his friend appropriately, all done by his own hand. One addition: an iron-on patch on the left breast that had Michael's name sprawled on it in red lettering.

Ghostface leapt up the steps to Michael's house and delivered a knock to the front door (the shave-and-a-haircut knock, just to drive home that it was him and not some ingrate hellbent on pestering the Boogeyman). And to that closed door, in preparation for his friend's arrival, he held up the package in silent offering.

even before the ghostface does the familiar rhythmic knocking, michael knows it is him. he watched him approaching through the window and besides, no one else dares to knock at the boogeyman's house. they either try to sneak in or avoid it completely in fear of michael's presence. even ghostface must be wary about entering the home ... because if michael is not in the mood for company, he will lash out against the smaller killer. has done it before & will likely do it again.

michael walks down the steps of his home and to the door, slipping the door open and greeting the other with a tilt of his head. he glances at the package being offered to him and hesitates for a moment before taking it, opening it up curiously. he's unsure of what to expect because he hasn't received a gift since he was six. there is almost a giddiness in him when he realizes just what exactly he's looking at. a jumpsuit that seems to be exactly his size. scarred, calloused fingertips run over the patched name on the breast of it. his name. unlike ghostface, michael actually identifies with his name. he takes the clothing item and simply stares at ghostface for a moment, unable to understand why he is being gifted this. but he is ... grateful. he has grown tired of his legs and feet being always exposed and the flimsiness of the hospital gown. he offers a tiny, barely there nod as a thanks, stepping aside to allow ghostface into his home if he wishes to stay.
