never underestimate my love of electro swing
huge spoilers ahead if you haven't seen RWBY Volume 3 yet in its entirety no but you can bet your ass i'm still fucked up about the fact that my TWO FAVORITE CHARACTERS IN RWBY are no longer alive i'll give you a hint as to which ones they are. let's see here... it's fucking Penny and Pyrrha of course, i've always loved those two so goddamn much and they're fucking d e a d
these rich white ladies need to seriously stop paying for their $6 and $12 meals with fucking $100 bills okay so this has happened two times in the last two days and i do not understand why these rich bitches have to be so goddamn extra about everything, like every time you pay for a tiny meal with a $100 bill, we have to basically clean out the entire register just to give you your 80-some dollars in fucking change i know most of you motherfuckers have never seen a real $10 bill before, but trust me, they are actually super useful! try grabbing a few from the bank sometime i have just under $400 to my name and i'm about to have to split the pay for my college fund since my dad's not paying for it anymore, and i do not get paid enough to deal with these entitled little shits who, by the way, are usually the same people who get super fucking pissed off if everything isn't absolutely perfect on their kiosk order with five thousand modifications, or who rant and rave if they don't receive that heavily-modified order in less than 4 minutes during a fucking lunch rush
so this bitchy woman got mad pissed because there wasn’t any basil on her sandwich and got all uppity to me (the front cashier) personally, saying this was the worst [restaurant name] she’d ever been to and that every time she went to one of our restaurants, something wasn’t right
so of course i’m apologizing to her for a miscommunication between the kitchen and the front, since apparently we’re totally supposed to tell our customers the very INSTANT we run out of fucking spices that usually aren’t even easy to detect, so this bitch probably opened up her sandwich to notice we were out of basil (at 7-fucking-pm, when we usually only prep it in the morning) and she let out the incredibly bullshit line, “i was hoping for basil, that’s why i got the sandwich in the first place”
i told my coworkers later on that what i really wanted to say was “look, lady, if you love basil so much, here’s a tip: go home, get some fresh basil, put it in a bowl, and eat it like a motherfucking salad if you want it that badly”
the fucking cassette tape player in my car decided to take a massive shit even though i only started using it about three days ago, so now it interrupts music i'm playing from ANY source (CD, radio, etc.) because it thinks there's still a tape in there and tries to play it
oh sweet it's ace awareness week *remembers that ace discourse is an actual thing happening* oh boy h o w d y
so i work at a popular chain cafe/bakery and i have the weirdest customers sometimes sometimes they come in and order a Caesar salad, but proceed to modify their order so heavily that it becomes another salad entirely with absolutely none of the original Caesar ingredients other times they want their panini toasted twice and get pissed off when we follow their directions to "basically burn the bread" one of our most popular sandwiches has avocado on it, and everyone gets angry when the avocado comes out subpar because we have to order dozens upon dozens and can't let them sit out long enough to ripen before we need them the other day, this bitch came through the drive-thru (at 7-fucking-pm, mind you, so our stock is incredibly low at this point) asking about one of our specialty bagels that we no longer had at that point. we gently informed her of this, and she angrily spat "those bagels are the only reason i came here tonight," to which we offered that she could get another kind. she asked for another kind that we happened to be out of as well, and my coworkers and i just looked at each other with fear in our eyes as the drive-thru operator prepared to tell this woman that she was out of luck, yet again. she got incredibly pissed off and we all just stood there in stunned silence before telling her the list of bagels we had left in stock then of course there are the people who don't understand the concept of "seasonal items" and the fact that your favorite summer-specific meal won't be here in the other seasons two nights ago there was a lady who came into the drive-thru an hour after we closed, and it took her an entire 3 minutes of talking into the microphone with no response to realize we were closed--my coworkers and i had our headsets on so we could hear every word as it happened but then there are the good moments, like when customers come through the drive-thru with their adorable dogs--if it's not busy at the time, we'll go over and shower them in affection
