Warning the below is sappyaf
Can't help looking at these 2022 photos differently. He was only a few weeks into dry Jan here and as he's said in multiple podcasts, really struggling. Z is right there, holding him (literally) and anyone who has been through addiction or a major lifestyle change knows what this kind of support means.
You don't want to go it alone.
Six months later, he’s pushing past his birthday. And in this context her instagram post hits harder too.
It was touching, loving, romantic on many levels, and it seems even more significant knowing now that this bday marked the moment he committed to sobriety, it feels kinda triumphant too. For both of them.
Totally reading too much into this, but its sweet!
And two years later he is launching Bero, tying his sobriety to his public life. It's inspiring - the commitment, the determination and the decision to turn something so personal into something that might help others.
He didn't have to share any of it. He could have kept it private, but instead he has built something out of it that is useful and purposeful. And embracing it openly and publicly, definitely raises the stakes.
Got super sappy here and probably went a little over the top. but it's this part of the TZ story that gets me.
Yes it's his sober journey, but the support Z has so clearly given, helped him get there and that can't be understated. Anyone in a committed relationship knows this: it's the secret sauce. Showing up through all the times because your eachothers most significant.
Love reveals itself like that, over time, in these moments. 🥺😭😭
