I was able to enjoy an amazing behind the scenes experience at the Toronto Zoo. This beautiful boy is Vasili, who is one of only 500 Amur tigers left in the world. In a perfect world, they would be roaming the wild, but due to human interaction, they are being pushed to extinction. Thankfully thru the efforts of zoos like Toronto, they have had successful breeding programs. Anyone who knows me knows that ever since I was a little kid, I wanted to be a zoo keeper. My life has taken a different turn but today, I was able to have this amazing encounter with Sadiki and a few of his Keepers, Heidi, Sarah and Krista.
