What a nice night at the club! I had no idea, but this guy I know was on the decks tonight, Dawit! It was three peeps opening, switching off. I saw him and he saw me. We said hey and then he had me go get us drinks with drink tickets, and then I got him a drink. He’s a genuine guy. At some point they played Like Some Dream I Cant Stop Dreaming and i went nuts. I love that record. This guy I know Husain was there too, He was dancing his ass off!! I even got to talk to Max D!!! I told him, good luck!! But I didnt stay for beautiful swimmers. Im sure he’d understand if he knew my deal, which is basically that I always come early and leave early. I helped some friends move tonight, so I was really tired. But I remembered tonight how much these club nights mean to me. On the way out I saw christian, this guy I studied abroad with. A cool dude. I see him on the street here in dc occasionally, often enough that he doesnt leave my awareness. But at that point, I had already seen like three people I know, which is at least one or two people too many. I tried to explain to someone today at work; im one of those people who for them, nothing is more terrifying than a room full of people I know. That is why club nights are usually good for me; im a stranger. But tonight it was good to see some people i knew. But honestly, i left at about the right at the right time, when i had gotten socially overstimulated and when i was far too drunk to deal, ha. Well before midnight, still , this was a really good nifht for me. The first night at u hall since i had been there to see dj pierre. I had a lot of fun tonight even if i was just there for the better part of an hour and a half. Great stuff!!
