It happened when their minds were tainted by vodka. It happened when their judgement was clouded. It happened when Thalia knew she liked girls, and liked the sound of the darkest blue. 

Drink up with me now, and forget all about the pressure of day, do what I say and I’ll make you okay. And drive them away. The images stuck in your head.

Who remembered how many glasses they had before their bodies were intertwined on her bed. Her hands sloppily grabbed her small waist as her hands aimlessly roamed beneath her silver shirt. Their lips never left each others unless airy laughter escaped. 

People you’ve been before that you don’t want around anymore, that push and shove and won’t bend to your will. I’ll keep them still.

She pushed the girl who loved Luke in the deepest crevice of her mind and the one who would punch the first person in sight as well. She wasn’t any of those girls anymore. She was a gentler soul, who liked girls, and wasn’t afraid to express it. Perhaps the alcohol was making her reveal more. Drunken minds say sober thoughts.

The smoke from the campfire ascended into the sky, where the stars were thrown across the sky. It was the color of her name. Guilt consumed the both of them. Thalia wanted to approach her, but Piper was her bodyguard. The only interaction was tossing the last can of guava soda to her. She caught it and they exchanged a glance. Their expressions were hard to read on both ends, perhaps a mix of regret and longing, but mostly longing.

Thalia locked herself in the cabin and drank herself to sleep that night. The harpies weren’t too happy about three empty bottles of wine making a nest of her mattress.
